No Foul Play Suspected in Death of Missing Dad Found Wrapped in Plastic & Carpet – Crime Online

A Georgia man who vanished last month was found dead in Louisiana on Monday, prompting an investigation.

Nathan Millard, 42, was last seen at a pub in Baton Rouge on February 23, but two weeks later, his body was discovered wrapped in plastic and carpet three miles away. His family told WAFB that investigators do not suspect foul play as they believe Millard possibly suffered an accidental overdose and steps were taken to conceal his body.

An autopsy, which did not pinpoint a cause or manner of death, stated that Millard had no internal or external injuries.

Millard was on a business trip at the time of his disappearance. He attended a basketball game at LSU with a client before going to a bar in downtown Baton Rouge, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

Baton Rouge police said Millard did not appear distressed in surveillance footage they reviewed from the night in question. According to WAFB, at some point, a security guard at a Greyhound bus station tried to get a ride for Millard but he turned down the offer.

WDSU reported that Millard’s phone and wallet were found blocks away from where he was last seen.

A final autopsy report, which includes a toxicology report, is pending.
