North Carolina Woman’s Car Found in Florida, Driven by 2 Strangers – Crime Online

The search for a missing North Carolina woman has moved to Florida after her car was found there this week.

The family of Shelby Campbell, 28, has filed missing persons reports in her home state as well as Broward County, Florida, where the car was found, WTVD reports.

The station said that Campbell disappeared from her home in Harnett County, North Carolina, on March 21. Her mother, Shelia Dorsett, said it’s possible she left willingly but that it’s uncharacteristic for her to leave several days without contacting anyone.

Deputies told Dorsett that when the car was found in Florida, two men were driving it.

“We don’t know anything about them, and we don’t have relatives there. We don’t have any roots there. So, we are considering these individuals to be strangers,” she said.

Campbell has a 4-year-old son and served in the US Air Force before receiving a medical discharge for multiple sclerosis. Dorsett flew to Florida this week to speak directly with law enforcement there and help search for her daughter.

“I would move heaven and hell for her,” Dorsett added. “And I’m not going to stop looking until you come home.”
