Phaedra Parks is sharing a major update on her co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband, Apollo Nida. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member shares two kids, Ayden Nida and Dylan Nida, with Apollo, and now sheds light on how they are balancing their life with their family years after they divorced.

Phaedra took to Instagram over the weekend, where she opened up about Ayden’s journey to running high school track, which she and Apollo supported. The mom of two posted so many photos of her oldest son’s journey before ending the carousel with a photo of her and Apollo posing next to Ayden as he held a trophy in his hands. “In January, [Ayden Nida] decided he wanted to run track. Honestly, I wasn’t sure how it would end because he moves slow every time I ask him to go run and get me something. But when it comes to my sons, I’m always supportive,” she wrote. “I made sure he had the tools to succeed, I bought the best track shoes, and showed up to almost every track meet, sometimes jumping out of the hearse in full funeral attire just to cheer him on.”
She continued, noting how she and Apollo continued to support Ayden. “Between me and his dad screaming from the stands, Ayden started running like someone was chasing him,” she explained. “He and his teammates became family; they decided they were going to win the state championship, and they DID! We are so proud of our Prince Ayden. Thank you for all the encouragement and to my family members who flew in and drove hours to watch him run, we love and appreciate you.”

During RHOA Season 17, Episode 2, Phaedra revealed that Ayden was learning how to drive, which was a really big deal for her. “Time really flies,” she explained during a confessional. “Just the other day, I didn’t even know when I was due. Now I have a whole teenager that’s actually driving me around town.”
She continued, opening up about Apollo’s role in Ayden learning how to drive. “Ayden has been learning to drive since he was 12 years old. He’s actually his dad’s designated driver,” she joked with producers.

Phaedra Parks opens up about becoming friends with Apollo Nida again
Phaedra had previously shared insight into her co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband during a visit to Bravo HQ in June 2025. While she admitted that her sons are with her “95 percent of the time,” she tries to be friendly with Apollo because of their two kids. “My son called me last night. He’s like, ‘Mom, I just want you and my dad to try to become friends again,'” she explained.Â
“It’s a process,” she added. “It’s a journey because crazy things happen…It makes it difficult sometimes.”
