London, UK – No royal tasks for Prince Harry appear to be on the agenda following his and Meghan Markle’s surprise return to the UK. The Prince reportedly plans to instead become a stay-at-home dad!

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle are building their new life in the UK together with their children in a luxury estate in the English Cotswolds.
Their children, Archie and Lilibet are set to start school in September. Meanwhile, Megan is set on trying to act and continue to grow her lifestyle brand.
King Charles III’s younger son wants to take on the role of full‑time dad, according to The Times. This choice, however, has drawn plenty of criticism.
On X, Prince Harry’s role has sparked backlash.
“Staying at home dad? You still have nannies, housekeepers, chefs, and gardeners,” one user wrote. “The kids are at school until mid-afternoon. Watching Archie play rugby once a week does not make you a stay-at-home dad.”
Many other users echoed this sentiment and accused the 41‑year‑old of deliberately presenting himself as a full‑time father without actually being one.
Many social media users weren’t convinced that Prince Harry’s daddy duties qualify him as a “real” stay-at-home dad.
Others pointed out that the royal still has other obligations, including projects such as the Invictus Games and other charitable initiatives.
That said, a possible return to royal duties doesn’t appear completely off the table. King Charles is said to be open to the idea of eventually re‑engaging his youngest son as a working royal.
It’ll be interesting to see how the couple settles into their life back in the spotlight in the UK following their surprising move. But first things first, stay-at-home-dad Prince Harry has got to get the kids ready for school.
