Though Tom Schwartz was hardly a reality TV rookie when he officially joined the cast of The Valley for Season 3, Kristen Doute still texted him some detailed instructions prior to him filming The Valley After Show.
“Kristen gave me some notes, actually, about today,” Tom revealed alongside Jason Caperna, before pulling out his phone on the After Show. “What did she send me? She’s like, ‘Schwartz, don’t be passive!’ … She said, ‘Doute is my best girl since 2010.’ That’s a fact. I love Doute.”
Later, Schwartz added that his fellow Vanderpump Rules alum had also advised him to refer to her as “the best mom” and to her fiancé, Luke Broderick, as “the tits.”

Separately, Kristen also retrieved her phone and read more from the pre-filming messages that she’d sent to Schwartz: “Oh my God, wait, you’re with Jason for the After Show? Stop. You better talk, or you guys will be crickets. And you need to be honest and loving. Don’t be a p—y. I love you. Doute is my best girl since 2010. … Janet [Caperna] is boring. I can send you some more notes.”

Even though Kristen appeared to make slight digs at him and his wife, Jason actually spotted a silver lining in one specific part of her message.
“I mean, of all the insults, that’s actually, probably, the nicest thing Kristen said about Janet in years, to be honest with you,” Jason told Schwartz. “That’s pretty nice of her. That might be an olive branch.”

Schwartz, for his part, agreed with Jason, adding, “I feel like that’s progress, honestly. … That’s an olive branch.”
In wrapping their discussion on the matter, Jason further pointed out that “boring’s better than evil,” prompting Schwartz to conclude, “I’ve been called boring so many times. I don’t mind.”

Schwartz also recently stopped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and made a bold prediction that Kristen and Luke will definitely get married someday, despite the issues they’ve been navigating on the show.
“I just feel like they’re gonna go the distance,” he remarked during WWHL‘s April 22 episode. “They understand each other in a way that I’ve never seen Kristen be. … They get each other. Like, if I could invest in their relationship, I would.”
But she wasn’t the only former VPR cast member that Schwartz had updates on while visiting the Clubhouse.
Even though he and Lala Kent signed on to film The Valley together, Schwartz also insisted that Scheana Shay was not “very jealous” about them continuing without her. “I think she was happy to take a year off to, like, just work on her marriage,” he added, referencing Brock Davies. “I think she’s in a really good place. I think she has new music coming out soon, which I’m really excited about. I love you, Scheana.”
As for where Schwartz stands with his ex-wife, Katie Maloney, he added on the WWHL After Show that they are “in a great place” and still co-parenting their dogs today. “I love to see her thriving,” Schwartz said, before referring to Katie’s boyfriend, Nick Martin, as being “cool as hell.”
Finally, he noted that Tom Sandoval had recently found “closure” with the sale of his and Ariana Madix’s former home, which he insisted was not “haunted or cursed.” Schwartz even weighed in on Sandoval and girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson’s romance, too.
“I think, definitely, they’re gonna go the distance,” he predicted. “They’re locked and loaded, without a doubt. I hear wedding bells.”
