One of the best parts of an all-new Real Housewives franchise is getting to know even more fun and fabulous women. That’s certainly the case with The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, which features all kinds of eclectic ladies on the cast. They’re already bringing the drama and laughs on the show, and now, Bravo fans got to learn even more about one in particular: Pizza owner and noted doll fan Alicia Carmody participated in a live Q&A with fans and BravoTV.com on Bravo’s The Daily Dish Instagram recently, where she opened up about her relationships with the other women, her side hustles, her marriage, and the perfect slice. User EvanM18: Can you write me a haiku in the style of your note to Liz, Queen!
Alicia Carmody: Oh, well I was nervous to write that note to Liz, so I didn’t — I don’t even know what I wrote. I kind of blacked out. I got so scared, you know? So that’s why I wrote that and it was cute. It was like a love note, too, though. It was like a love note with a little, you know, question that I didn’t really wanna ask. But I had to do it. Yeah. Because we all put it out there that day.
BravoTV.com: What would your haiku be to Evan?
Alicia: Evan, I love you so, XO, XO, Alicia.
User kathy_mackathersons: Which doll is her favorite?
Alicia: What doll? Bella Parker from Rainbow High. She’s got light pink hair, and she’s so pretty, and then they made the Malibu on Bella Parker. That’s really pretty.
User Nannasbananas: Side hustles? Have any?
Alicia: Well, I was a hairstylist forever, so I just stopped a year ago, but my side hustle right now is Pizza Mama merch, and I’m working on some other exciting things, so I can’t talk about yet.
User hempseed_34_quinn: How did you feel about Jo-Ellen when she was a freshman in high school?
Alicia: Jo-Ellen was my best friend’s little sister. She was cute. She was just like, Jo-Ellen, you know, she was cute. Jo-Ellen. Jo-Melons they’d call her. She had big boobs.
User TheLady324: Why aren’t you married?
Alicia: Well, I didn’t like how I had to sign the prenup at first and then I was like, I’ll just do it later on. And then it just, you know, I just never wanted — I don’t know. It’s like I got anxiety about the actual commitment because what if it doesn’t work, then it’s a divorce. But if you’re not married, we’re still together and that means we obviously love each other, you know?
User Cabr_allstar: What spread of snacks do you bring on an hours-long car ride?
Alicia: I bring Saltines. I bring Fig Newtons. I like a Be Kind bar too because I like the protein and I love a sparkling water.
BravoTV.com: We’ve gotten two more questions about the dolls!
- User Jessgerlock: What’s with the dolls?
- User Gfioccco1201: I need a complete doll breakdown!
Alicia: OK, so there’s a Paris Hilton doll from Rainbow High that’s so cute. She’s so cute. And then Bella Parker — Ruby. Ruby Rose, I think her name is. She’s got red hair. She designed sneakers on the show. She’s cute and I like red.
User Holayaniel: What are you favorite doll brands to collect and how did your affinity for dolls begin?
Alicia: I’m a hairstylist. I had a daughter and once I started shopping for her dolls, I fell in love with them and knew that I fell in love with them because I didn’t want her to play with them. I started getting really protective over the dolls so I bought her other dolls that she could play with and I was like, let’s keep the Rainbow High dolls in order. I like to see them in the color. I like to see their outfits. I feel like I don’t — I’m not sitting there, like, playing with the dolls. I think they’re inspiration. I like to see how their eyelashes look. I like to see how they do the shimmer and the lips. I like to see how it’s placed. I think it’s an art.
BravoTV.com: Yeah, and that’s your favorite? Like, do you like Bratz or Barbie?
Alicia: I like Rainbow High because it comes with the stands. I like things organized. Barbies don’t, so. I just feel like, Barbies, I think they’re so beautiful. It’s iconic, Barbie but they don’t have a stand on it, so they’re not always — I like to see ’em placed like this.
BravoTV.com: Is there gonna be a collab? Like, are you going to have a version of your own doll?
Alicia: I mean that’s a dream … it should. So yes. I’m gonna put that out. Yes.
User The.bottoms: What is your favorite pizza?
Alicia: I love every type of pizza. It depends if I’m getting my period, it depends if I’m trying to be skinny, it depends if it’s summer, I have a different palette for each week, each mood. OK, so the pizza when I’m getting my period is the Detroit pizza. It’s unbelievable. It has a cheese crust and it’s light, like the dough’s light, and it’s just — it hits every spot. It’s just the winner.
BravoTV.com: And then if you wanna be skinny?
Alicia: I like a pita pizza and like a thin crust pizza, light cheese, light sauce, well done.
BravoTV.com: And then if it’s summer?
Alicia: If it’s summer, I like a pita chip. Pizza cheese on a pita chip. It’s small, little, round, and it’s crunchy.
Valentina L from Cleveland, Ohio: Alicia, what menu items from Pizza Mamma do you recommend as a staple go-to?
Alicia: I like the Detroit. It depends. I like the quesadilla pizza. Sometimes I just wanna do a white with red pepper flakes on it.
User IvanZarek1983: Alicia, you’re absolutely fabulous. Who is your BFF on the show? Kind regards.
Alicia: Who is my BFF on the show? Ooh, I love all the girls, and I’m just like how I am with my pizza, depends on the week, but probably Rosie. Rosie, Jo-Ellen, Liz sometimes. I loved Liz forever. You know, it’s different, but yeah, I would say Rosie and Jo-Ellen.
Geoff from San Francisco: Alicia, can you please tell us more about how you ran over that woman?
Alicia: You know how many DMs I get about this? So the woman actually ran in front of my car so I wasn’t just driving and just hit a woman. I mean, I probably would because I’m not a good driver, but she ran in front of my car. She was totally fine.
Erika Dawley from Virginia Beach, Virginia: It’s clear that food is a big part of your life. What is your go-to dish?
Alicia: My go-to dish? I love chicken parm with rigatoni, but I like the sauce on the side for both. I do not like a lot of tomato sauce. I like to like dip it like I’m still a kid. So that would be it.
Amanda Cuffe: Who are you most loyal to in the group and who do you trust the least?
Alicia: I’m very loyal to all of them. I’m a loyal person, so I think, you know, I feel like I’m definitely loyal to Liz, I grew up with her the most and then I’m loyal to Jo-Ellen and Rosie. I’m loyal to all of ’em. Who do I trust the least? It depends on the week.
Chelsea Butler: Alicia, which cast member is most similar to Lois from Family Guy?
Alicia: Wait, what does that mean? Lois is — Lois, who is it, the guy? Was it the football guy?
BravoTV.com: The mom? Isn’t Lois the mom?
Alicia: I don’t know who she is. I know about the show, but never watched it … What does Lois do? What’s she known for?
[BravoTV.com PLAYS FAMILY GUY SNIPPET].
Alicia: I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know Lois. I’ll look her up and come back with that later.
Ethan from Acton, Massachusetts: Alicia, if you had to pick one Housewife OG from another franchise to go on a girl’s trip with, who would it be with and why?
Alicia: Alexia [Nepola] from Miami. I just think she’s so fun. I don’t know, I just like her energy on the show. I just like her. I don’t know what it is. So her, I think we’d had fun.
Melissa Mayo: Was Alicia born and raised in Rhode Island? Why be embarrassed by your accent? It’s beautiful.
Alicia: I love you, whoever said that. Thank you. Was I born there? Yes, totally. Born and raised. Never leaving. Only for vacations. Everyone always told me I had an accent but until you hear it on TV … I was like, wow, I really have an accent, but I didn’t know that until I heard myself on TV, you know what I mean? Yeah, and I realized that mine’s stronger than a lot of the other girls.
