The Real Housewives of Rhode Island‘s Rosie DiMare isn’t shying away from castmate Kelsey Swanson’s questions about her and husband Rich DiMare’s finances.
On the heels of Kelsey’s continued skepticism about square footage and how the couple could even afford to pay for their “massive” home renovations in the first place, Rosie faced the chatter head-on during The Real Housewives of Rhode Island After Show for Episode 9.
When a producer asked why Kelsey was having such a hard time believing her, Rosie answered that she had “no idea” before unpacking details on her career trajectory. As previously explained on RHORI, Rosie is a former local news reporter and anchor who went on to start her own production company through which she now hosts a weekend lifestyle show that features local businesses. Her side hustles include social media work for local companies, in addition to various DJing and hosting gigs.

“The reason I quit TV was because I could go into this other field and make more working with one client than I made working in TV,” Rosie said. “Like, I don’t think they wrap their head around this. … I was making $50,000, and I was getting up at 3 a.m., OK? And I was the face of the morning news.”
Nowadays, she added, “My one client is making me $80,000. And I have, usually, three to four per year. So, like, that’s how I make my money. It’s not that complicated.”

Despite the fact that Rosie and most of her castmates set off on a mini excursion to attend one of Rich’s weekly Frank Sinatra-themed dinner shows during RHORI‘s supersized May 24 episode, she remarked on the After Show that the ladies still didn’t seem to understand what her husband did for a living.
“Rich owns a very successful events company,” Rosie reiterated. “It’s, like, really successful all over New England. He DJs, and he sings. He makes a ton of money doing that through his agency.”
What’s more, she said that her husband has also “invested very well in real estate.”

“We could live off just his real estate if we wanted to,” Rosie claimed. “I don’t know what you want me to tell you. Like, I didn’t marry a loser, like, I’m sorry. They could’ve asked me. [Kelsey] asked me one question all summer, other than screaming at me, and it was if I signed a prenup. It’s, like, weird. If I don’t have any money, and Rich doesn’t have any money, why would I sign a prenup? She doesn’t make any sense.”
She concluded, “Why would I sign a prenup? Rich and I are going to be together forever.”

Elsewhere in Episode 9, Kelsey revisited the rumors that Rosie had an affair with a basketball coach in the aftermath of their explosive fight. Even though Rosie denied the accusations earlier in the season, Kelsey doubled down in a confessional, alleging, “He paid her off to not talk about the relationship, which is why she has money to buy a house that she just bought.”
As for why she didn’t believe Rosie could have earned the funds herself, Kelsey explained on the RHORI After Show, “She told me that she barely was making any money when she was working at Channel 10.”
After Rosie revealed her salary at the news station, Kesley, separately added, “I know people who worked at Channel 10 doing her same job, and 50 grand is being generous.”
