Rosie DiMare and Kelsey Swanson had their biggest fight yet on The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, but, as it turns out, there was even more going on behind the scenes than what viewers saw in Episode 7.
On The Real Housewives of Rhode Island After Show, Rosie broke down the drama that ignited when Kelsey showed up at her home toward the end of the episode. Though Rosie knew that her castmate would be stopping by to give her a haircut, she did not expect Kelsey to pull into her driveway with a police siren blaring, using a speaker to put their debate over her house’s square footage on blast.
“I couldn’t even wrap my head around this was happening,” Rosie recalled. “And she’s like, ‘What? It was funny.'”

She didn’t find Kelsey’s so-called joke to be a laughing matter, however, especially given everything that had already transpired between them up until that point. “People are gonna think, like, she just rolled up to my house one day and was, like, mean to me one time, and I’m freaking the f–k out,” Rosie explained. “I mean, this is just the tip of the iceberg.”
After running through a list of negative things Kelsey had said about her husband, her career, and even the false claim about her allegedly having an affair with a basketball coach, Rosie said that she still agreed to make amends with her during the cast trip to Newport anyway — even in the absence of an apology.
“I was like, ‘Fine, let’s just, like, be cool. Let’s just move forward,'” Rosie revealed. “And that’s why I was so pissed off when she pulled that s–t at my house.”

Kelsey, for her part, maintained on the RHORI After Show that she “just thought it was funny,” adding, “Take a joke. It’s not that serious.”
From her perspective, Rosie had also intended to make light of the matter, considering she’d purposely placed her home’s construction plans and a measuring tape on the table, prior to her arrival.

“So even before I had the megaphone and the police siren, she still had the plan for me to go measure her foundation,” Kelsey elaborated. “Like, she’s joking around. Why can’t I?”
What led up to Rosie DiMare and Kelsey Swanson’s fight on RHORI
While driving to Rosie’s home in RHORI‘s May 17 episode, Kelsey called her boyfriend Bill L’Europa. “I feel like now we’re in a better place. We’re friendly now,” she updated him. “I don’t hold grudges.” Aside from gaining some exposure for her planned post-breakup career in the beauty industry, Kelsey added in a confessional that she thought that giving Rosie a haircut would be “a good way to build a connection” and to “get to know her” better.
“I’m gonna bust her balls a little bit and make light of the situation,” Kelsey also told Bill. “You know how I was, like, calling her out for lying about her square footage of her house? We can joke about it now. We’re past it.”
Rosie, meanwhile, chatted on the phone with her husband, Rich DiMare, informing him, “I put the plans on the counter, so now when she walks up the stairs, she’s gonna have to look at the plans.”
Shortly afterward, Kelsey pulled up with the siren blaring, announcing on her megaphone, “Rosie Woods, this is the house police. I have eyes on the property. Suspect says 8,000 square feet. More like 8,000 inches.”
As Rosie explained to a producer, “This ‘funny joke’ proves that you’re not trying to move forward with me. You just wanna make fun of me, and now you’re coming to my house, and you’re gonna do it again? Seriously, it’s f–ked up. You’re still calling me a liar and an exaggerator. And you just want to attack me constantly. And I’m not here for it anymore.”Â
Kelsey, for her part, added in a separate confessional, “I literally thought I could joke with her. I thought we were at that level where we could, like, laugh. That was all that I was trying to do. She needs to take a frickin’ chill pill.”
Regardless, an apparently unamused Rosie invited Kelsey inside and, indeed, offered to let her go measure her home’s foundation. The conversation quickly went left, however, and, following a back-and-forth, insult-filled screaming match, Rosie eventually kicked Kelsey out of her home.
