Sebastian Rogers Stepdad Explains How He Punished Missing Autistic Boy, Search Continues – Crime Online

The mother and stepmother of missing Tennessee teen, Sebastian Rogers, say they have no idea where the 15-year-old could be as the search continues into its fourth week.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Sebastian was last seen on February 26 at his family home in Sumner County. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation subsequently issued an AMBER Alert on the afternoon of February 27.

Chris Proudfoot told Nancy Grace during Monday’s “Crime Stories” that he was almost four hours away in Memphis, working on a construction project at St. Jude when Sebastian disappeared. “On or about 6:20 a.m.,” he contacted 911 after his wife and the teen’s mother, Katie Proudfoot, told him Sebastian was missing.

There were no signs of forced entry and nothing was missing from the home. The Proudfoots do not have an alarm or a security camera at the home.

Katie said the only thing she heard the night before Sebastian disappeared was a “thud” coming from his room, and Sebastian telling her that he was OK shortly after.

There were no family altercations at the time, she said, but Grace questioned Chris Proudfoot regarding a spanking incident he discussed during a YouTube livestream with “Chronicles with Olivia.”

“Sebastian got caught lying…I gave him a swat with a belt on his buttocks on the outside of his clothes, one swat,” Chris Proudfoot told Grace, adding that it happened several years ago, “one and only one time.”

Chris said despite the purported rumors, the incident “did not turn into a CPS service call.”

The couple said that, for now, they have left the family home, with Chris returning to work and Katie saying she would be going with him. She doesn’t know when she will return and said part of the reason for leaving is the harassment from the public.

“My son could be anywhere and we are looking everywhere and anywhere,” Katie Proudfoot told Grace.

Chris has not taken a polygraph test and said law enforcement told him that he didn’t need to take one. The mother reportedly passed her polygraph test.

Chris Proudfoot added that investigators have cleared both him and his wife of foul play.

Meanwhile, the search for Sebastian continues.

At least three dogs hit on a retention pond near their home, the couple said, adding that law enforcement drained the pond and found no evidence.

The 501C3 search group, the United Cajun Navy, who began searching for Sebastian Sunday, said two dogs appeared to pick up a spot at the Rockland Recreation Area in Hendersonville.

Sebastian is described as a white male who stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs between 106 to 108 pounds. He has dirty blond hair and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants. His flashlight keychain is unaccounted for.

Anyone with information regarding Rogers’ whereabouts should call the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office at 615-451-3838 or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
