Shannon Storms Beador is sharing a heartbreaking health update on her dog, Archie. The Real Housewives of Orange County mom of three took to social media earlier this week, where she revealed that her dog was diagnosed with brain cancer after suffering seizures.Â
Shannon took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 5, where she posted a photo of the fluffy golden retriever, lying in the grass, with a tennis ball in front of him. She then took to the caption of the post where she opened up about his health and how her daughters are handling the news. “I know my posts about my dogs are usually fun and silly, but today I wanted to share something more serious. After experiencing multiple seizures, Archie has been diagnosed with brain cancer,” she wrote in the caption of the post. “Our heart aches for our sweet Archie. He means the world to the girls and I. We are going to do everything we can to help him fight this. Archie has seen a neurologist and oncologist, and it has been recommended that he start radiation soon.”
She then called on her Instagram followers for tips as she embarked on this journey. “If anyone has experience with this or advice to share, it would truly mean so much to the girls and I. Please don’t hesitate to DM and reach out. Thank you for loving Archie as much as we do,” she concluded.
Shannon’s oldest daughter, Sophie Beador, also took to the comments of the post. “We love Archie so much,” she noted. “Love you mom. Archie loves you too.”

So many Bravolebrities from RHOCÂ and beyond took to the comments of the post where they shared their support for Shannon, her family, and their dog. “Heartbreaking,” Tamra Judge wrote. “Prayers for Archie.”
“We are here for you, Shannon,” Emily Simpson wrote, along with several broken heart emojis. Gina Kirschenheiter also commented with supportive emojis.

Details on Shannon Storms Beador’s two dogs, Archie and Troy
Shannon first adopted Archie in 2016, two years after she made her debut on RHOC Season 9, after she saw a photo of him on X (formerly Twitter). “A viewer tweeted a picture of Archie and said, ‘Do you know anyone that’s looking for a dog?’ And I said, ‘Are you serious?'” she recalled in an interview with BravoTV.com. “He was raised in San Francisco at the Four Seasons Hotel, because they have residences up there. So he’s been raised fancy…he’s so much fun, and so protective, and has these sweet quirks.”
Shannon then adopted a second golden retriever named Troy in May 2025. Shannon spoke with The Daily Dish in July, where she admitted that she got the idea of getting a second dog after speaking with a pet psychic. “Archie told the psychic he wanted a brother that looked like him that was two to three years old,” she explained. “So I’m like, ‘OK, great.’ So I adopted a dog.”
