Steven McBee Jr. is officially another year older! The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys cast member celebrated his 33rd birthday on Sept. 21, with his dad, Steve McBee Sr., sharing a look inside their relationship today. In fact, Steve Sr. has so much gratitude for his oldest son following his release from prison in mid-September.
The dad of four took to his Instagram Story on Steven Jr.’s birthday, where he posted the sweetest throwback photo of himself and a much younger Steven Jr. fishing together. In the photo, Steve Sr. can be seen standing next to his white truck on the edge of a pond, while Steven Jr., with platinum blonde hair, looked so proud to catch a fish with his fishing pole, wearing a red fishing vest.
“Happy birthday to my oldest son, Steven,” Steve Sr. wrote underneath the photo. “From a little boy following me around the farm to the man you are today, it’s been the greatest blessing of my life to watch you grow. I love you more than you’ll ever understand, and I thank God for you every day. Wishing you nothing but happiness, son.”

Steven Jr. has been spending some major quality time with Steve Sr. following his release from prison. Steven Jr. took to his Instagram Story throughout the weekend after his dad was released on Sept. 11, revealing a look at how the family patriarch was acclimating to his life back at home.
In one photo, Steve Sr. and Steven Jr. can be seen standing with a friend, smiling next to each other, before Steven Jr. posted a photo of Steve Sr. playing with his grandkids and family members on the farm. “Life is good,” he wrote over the snap.

Steven Jr. had been so excited about his dad arriving home from prison. The oldest McBee son appeared on the podcast, Roxanne and Shantel, on Aug. 24, where he shared his hopes for his dad after prison. “We cannot wait to have him back here,” he said. “I think prison and that time to do nothing or just read and reflect is going to be the best thing that ever happened to him.”
“I hope the way he talks now, the way he acts now, and the things he says, I hope they stick whenever he gets out of prison,” he said. “And if so, I think there’s a lot of good things to come.”
