Teen Arrested for Murder of His Dad; On the Run Since October After Shooting Him 31 Times – Crime Online

A 19-year-old Wisconsin man accused of shooting his dad 31 times last October has been arrested after months on the run.

Djuan Eskridge, 19, was charged in October with first degree reckless homicide in the death of William Eskridge on October 9, WITI reported. HE was taken into custody on Monday.

Investigators found 15 spent shell casings near the body, and prosecutors said he had 31 gunshot wounds. They also found surveillance video that showed a portion of the shooting.

In it, Djuan Eskridge pulls out a gun and fires at his father, “retreats briefly,” then moves back towards him and fires more shots before fleeing the scene.

A witness told investigators that the son arrived on the scene and engaged in a confrontation with his father before shooting him. That person said Djuan Eskridge shot his father multiple times and, after the victim fell to the ground, “walked closer to (him) abd shot additional rounds,” a complaint says.

“The autopsy indicated that WJE had sustained those gunshot wounds to his head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, back, buttocks, upper extremities, and lower extremities, causing perforations to his lungs, heart, aorta, and small and large intestines,” police wrote, according to Law&Crime. “Dr. Calderaro ruled WJE’s death a homicide due to complications from gunshot wounds.”

The teen made his initial court appearance on Thursday. His cash bond was set at $200,000, WITI said.
