A Georgia teenager has been charged with murder after police said he fatally shot two boys after becoming upset over a football game.
Julian Ellis, 18, is in custody at the DeKalb County Jail after being charged with two counts of felony murder and four counts of aggravated assault with a weapon. According to reporting by Atlanta, Georgia-based Fox affiliate WAGA, Ellis was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a shooting that took place at a home on Sunday. Four people were shot during the alleged attack, leaving a teenage girl and a 37-year-old woman in the hospital and two boys, 11-year-old Jamarion Rolle and 12-year-old Ja’khi Clark, dead.
The two boys were brothers, and their mother spoke to Atlanta-based ABC affiliate WSB about what happened on the day they died.

The boys’ mother, who identified herself as Janae Rolle in a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for her sons’ funerals, told WSB that the incident stemmed from a football game that took place on Sept. 17. While Rolle did not share details about the fight, she said her family held a barbecue at their home days later on Sunday.
Rolle told WSB that the family of the kids involved in the fight showed up at the barbecue. Another fight broke out outside the home where the gathering was being held, and Rolle said it escalated. She told WSB that she heard gunfire, and when she came outside, she found both of her sons with gunshot wounds.
Jamarion was pronounced dead at the scene. Ja’khi succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
According to WSB, Rolle said the suspects fled the scene, but she was able to provide video of them to police. Ellis is the only suspect who has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
Rolle told WSB that the teenager who was shot was her 17-year-old niece, who is reportedly pregnant. The teen’s mother is reportedly the other woman who was shot.
Ellis is being held at the DeKalb County Jail without bond. WAGA reported that he is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 24.
