Texas Mom Stabs 5 Children, 3 Fatally, During Child Protective Services Visit – Crime Online

A 25-year-old woman has been charged with stabbing three of her children to death and critically injuring two others during a visit by Child Protective Services..

Shamaiya Deyonshana Hall is being held on a $6 million bond for the three counts of capital murder in the deaths of a 6-year-old boy and 5-year-old twins, a boy and a girl.

A 4-year-old boy and a 13-month-old girl were taken to hospitals in Dallas and Fort Worth.

According to WFAA, a Child Protective Services worker had gone to the resident for an unannounced home visit because CPS suspected that Hall was having unsupervised visits with the children, who had been put in the custody of a relative previously. Hall allegedly stabbed the children when the worker arrived.

The worker called 911 to the scene at about 4 p.m., and officers found the children. It’s not clear if the CPS worker was inside the house at the time.

“We are shocked by this incomprehensible tragedy, and already working with law enforcement to investigate how this happened, and why,” the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services said in a statement, according to WFAA.

The Italy Independent School District said that the four older children were students at an elementary school across the street from where they lived and that the school was making counselors available Monday morning for students and staff as well as family and community members.

Authorities did not confirm that Hall was the mother of the children, but family members told KDFW that she was.
