A Texas woman is accused of stabbing her husband and then driving a vehicle with their three kids into a retention pond, where rescuers worked frantically to save them, NBC 5 reports.
Around 7:45 a.m. Friday, police in Carrollton were called to a home where a man said his wife had stabbed him and then fled. Medics brought the man to a hospital and he is expected to survive, according to the Forth Worth Star-Telegram.
Later that morning, a 911 caller reported that a woman and her children were in a vehicle that had just been driven into a retention pond in nearby Lewisville.
The oldest child managed to free himself by the time the first police officer arrived. The officer was able to grab another child and revive them with CPR. A third child was extricated by firefighters and resuscitated while being rushed to the hospital.
