Timothy Bliefnick Denied Bond After Being Accused of Murdering Ex-wife Rebecca Bliefnick’ A ‘Family Feud’ contestant, who appeared in court for shooting his estranged wife multiple times, has been refused bond. Rebecca Bliefnick, 41, was discovered dead in her home in the 2500 block of Kentucky Road in Quincy by a family member on February 23, after she failed to pick her sons up from their school. Altogether two weeks after searching the same house, officers rushed to the residence of Timothy, 39, on Monday, March 13.

Timothy was charged with killing his wife and for home invasion on Tuesday, March 14, when he appeared in court in Adams County, but he did not make a plea. He will be in custody until his subsequent trial. The residence is only a mile from the Kentucky Road home the Illinois nurse and their three sons shared. Bliefnick‘s murder was deemed as an “act of domestic violence” by prosecutors.

What charges is Tim Bliefnick facing?
Bliefnick had earlier placed a restraining order against Timothy and his father before he filed a restraining order against her. Prosecutors reportedly said that the crime was not a random incident. He was arrested on two charges of first-degree murder and one of home invasion, and is being held in the Adams County Jail, per the Daily Mail.
What did Tim Bliefnick’s lawyer say?
Timothy reportedly went to Bliefnick’s wake but chose not to attend her funeral because he did not want to cause a scene. His lawyer, Casey Schnack, told Fox News that she was planning to file papers to “protect his interests and preserve his constitutional rights.” Schnack said, “I have requested but have not received copies of the charging document and arrest warrant. We will be evaluating his case and making decisions as more information comes in. Seeking an OP in a divorce is not uncommon gameplay in Adams County. The state’s attorney’s office needs a narrative. It appears that domestic violence is that narrative.”
She also confirmed that he had never been arrested before and that their children had never been taken away from the house because of domestic abuse.
Timothy was seen entering Adams County Courthouse dressed in a grey jail uniform with his hands cuffed and ankles shackled for his bond hearing in which Judge Robert Adrian ruled. Due to the fact that a gun was used in the crime, he could be sentenced to a minimum of 45 years to life in prison if found guilty of first-degree murder. He also faces 31 years to life for the home invasion charge, per KHQA. He may enter a plea on March 24.
