Inset: Robin N. Jackson (Delaware County Jail). Background: The area in Indiana where the alleged attack occurred.
A 41-year-old Indiana woman is accused of orchestrating a vicious attack on a sleeping man, allegedly kicking him awake before unleashing two assailants on him in a beating that left the victim with a collapsed lung, broken ribs and a deep cut near his eye.
Robin Naomi Jackson was taken into custody and charged with one count each of burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor — both felonies — as well as battery resulting in serious bodily injury, possession of methamphetamine, residential entry, and neglect of a dependent, court records show.

Jackson went to a home in the 800 block of North Jefferson Street with two male associates, one of whom was believed to be her juvenile son, according to court documents obtained by The Star Press. The victim told police he was asleep when Jackson suddenly kicked the side of his bed, waking him up.
“I told you your a— whooping was coming,” Jackson allegedly said, according to Milwaukee Fox affiliate WXIN.
She then allegedly sicced the two men on him. The victim reportedly told investigators that his attackers began punching him before moving on to “kicking and stomping him in the head, face and ribs.”
The beating left the man struggling to breathe. At one point, after the victim had fallen to the floor and had “a large amount of blood coming from his face,” one of the attackers apparently suggested that the victim needed an ambulance.
“He doesn’t need a f—ing ambulance,” Jackson replied, per WXIN.
Officers responding to the home found the victim bleeding heavily from his face and having difficulty walking. Police also reportedly found a “fair amount” of blood inside the residence.
Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital, where the staff determined he had suffered a collapsed lung, several broken ribs, a large laceration near his left eye socket and a broken tooth.
The victim said he believed the attack stemmed from a previous dispute between Jackson and his wife. He claimed that about a month before he was attacked, Jackson had choked his wife with so much force that it put her in the hospital.
Police arrested Jackson during a traffic stop at Granville and Centennial avenues the following day. A young child was in the back of Jackson’s truck when she was arrested; the child had allegedly also been brought to the home during the assault, according to WXIN.
Jackson was booked into the Delaware County Jail. She remained in detention Friday afternoon on an $18,000 bond, records show. She is scheduled to appear for her initial hearing Aug. 28.
The two men accused of participating in the beating had not been arrested or publicly identified as of Friday afternoon.
