Los Angeles, California – Travis Kelce has given more insight into his July 3 nuptials with Taylor Swift and why the couple decided to tie the knot at Madison Square Garden!
The Kansas City Chiefs player returned to his joint podcast, New Heights, with his brother Jason on Wednesday, where he reflected on his star-studded wedding to the pop star last month.
Travis shared, “At this point, we’re what, over a month out? It’s been so much fun. The night was a night we’ll never forget.”
He continued, “Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up, you know, from the vows to just seeing everyone to how much fun we had throughout the entire evening, and hearing that kind of be relayed through everybody’s stories of the night.”

The 36-year-old admitted that he wished the event “could’ve lasted even longer than it did,” adding that “it felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye.”
Travis and Taylor picked MSG for their wedding venue because they wanted to have a “very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions,” per the athlete.
He explained, “We needed it to be a private feel. And MSG went above and beyond to give us that,” adding, “I can’t thank everybody enough that showed up but also that helped put the show on, and it was a very magical, magical night.”
Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reported that Travis dropped over $5 million on what appears to be his and Taylor’s forever home four months before they tied the knot!
The lakefront mansion in Travis’ home state of Ohio reportedly contains eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a game room, and a home theater!
Earlier this week, Travis also revealed that the two have even welcomed a new dog into their family as they settle in as newlyweds – it’s a love story, baby, they said yes!
