Vicki Gunvalson is shedding new light on her decision to kick The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 20 production crew out of her new home. On The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show, Vicki explained that she’d simply wanted some alone time with her overnight guests, who included Emily Simpson, Jennifer Pedranti, and Shannon Storms Beador.
Just as she’d done in Episode 11 of RHOC, Vicki clarified that she’d never truly intended to kick out her castmates, though she’d previously threatened to do so.
“I want some time with my girlfriends to get to know them quietly without cameras,” she said on the RHOC After Show. “The camera crew was out on the lawn. I was done with all of them. So, I told the camera crew, ‘It’s time for you guys to leave.'”
Even so, cameras continued to roll as Emily and Jenn ultimately decided to take a roughly two-hour Uber ride from La Quinta to Orange County amid tension that eventually also involved Vicki’s boyfriend, Michael Smith. Shannon, for her part, decided to stay with Vicki, though she supported Emily and Jenn’s decision to leave sometime between 11 p.m. and midnight.
How did Vicki Gunvalson react to her RHOC castmates leaving her home?
Though a “shocked” Vicki tried to convince Emily and Jenn to stay, she relented once they’d made up their minds, telling Shannon, “I’m not equipped for this stress.” The next morning, Vicki even floated the idea of invoicing the two for all of the money she’d spent on them. On the RHOC After Show, Vicki opened up even more about how “very disappointed” she was about Emily and Jenn leaving.

After detailing all of her efforts and expenses associated with the overnight stay, Vicki said, “I spent a lot of time and money on it. And they were very disrespectful. But if they want to go, go. I mean, you’ll never be invited back again, ever.”
Describing the whole night as “awkward,” Vicki doubled down on her belief that Emily and Jenn had “totally disrespected” her home. “You go into somebody’s home, you’re a guest, you have manners,” she told an After Show producer. “But they were raised differently than me.”
In terms of her own behavior towards the women earlier in the evening, Vicki added, “I was really emotional because I was, like, really not understanding where they, Jenn and Emily, were coming from regarding all the picking at me.”
Why did Emily Simpson and Jennifer Pedranti leave Vicki Gunvalson’s house on RHOC?
Following their earlier drama, Emily and Jenn felt “uncomfortable” about spending the night at Vicki’s home, especially after Michael arrived and was upset that they were all still arguing. Regarding her and Jenn’s decision to leave, Emily explained to Vicki in RHOC‘s Sept. 17 episode, “The tension in this house right now is, like, off the charts. I feel like it’s weird being here right now. Like, you have issues with Mike, and he’s not happy. You guys need to work that out. We’re happy to leave. It’s fine.”

On the RHOC After Show, Emily elaborated, “Do I want to be in someone’s house where you’re telling me that, like, he’s upset with us, and we’re walking on eggshells?”
Jenn, for her part, chimed in, “It was so uncomfortable that it was a better, more comfortable decision to zip up my suitcase, get an Uber, and drive from La Quinta back to Orange County.”
