Vicki spoke with Bravo Insider in July where she revealed that her businessman boyfriend is not as familiar with cameras as she is. “I think the fans are gonna be surprised to learn he’s kinda shy on camera,” she explained.Â
But when they’re in private, Michael is a different person. “In real life, he’s not shy at all. He tells me what he thinks,” she added.

Although Michael is shy in front of cameras, he’s not shy in front of Vicki’s two children. She admitted to Bravo Insider that her son, Michael Wolfsmith, and her brother, Billy Steinmetz, get along so well with Michael Smith.
“Having Michael meet my family, gosh, it’s been four-and-a-half years now. Everyone accepts him,” she noted. “Michael accepted him. It’s been easy. He’s here with my brother in New York and so far, so good.”

Vicki and Michael also have some big plans ahead of them this year as they have “fun” and continue to split their time between Orange County and their condo in Puerto Vallarta. “We bought a house in La Quinta,” she continued. “He wants me to learn how to golf. That’s not gonna happen.”

Vicki Gunvalson opens up about her relationship with Michael Smith
The mom of two had also shared more details about her relationship with Michael during RHOC Season 20, Episode 1. “Four years into our relationship, Mike fills my emotional love tank,” she explained in a confessional. “Like, I know when I’m with him, I feel empowered. I feel good. He accepts me. I’m a lot to accept.”
She further revealed how different this relationship is for her when speaking to BFF, Shannon Storms Beador, during the episode. “He can do his thing, I can do my thing and we know we’re going to be home together,” Vicki noted.

Vicki further detailed her living situation with Michael during the Season 20 premiere. “Mike, my boyfriend and I, we live primarily in Coto De Caza, and we go between La Quinta, and my favorite place, Puerto Vallarta,” she explained.
