West Wilson is opening up about his relationship with Amanda Batula. The Summer House cast member took to his podcast, following his return to social media, where he addressed their relationship head-on.
West appeared on his podcast, Show Me Something, on April 20, where he admitted in the interview that he has “been better.” “A lot has happened in a very, very short amount of time, obviously. And, yeah, I’m trying to take it a day at a time and stay off my phone, but the internet is a very scary place to be,” he admitted during the episode.
He also revealed that things have been hard on Amanda. “Amanda has taken a big brunt of all of this, too,” he continued. “Which I just wish if people had s–t to talk, that they could deliver it to me.”

West continued, taking to the podcast, to open up about the timing of his relationship with Amanda, who is currently going through a separation from Kyle Cooke. “There was no overlap,” he stated. “I know there’s a thousand different theories on the internet right now, but that is one thing that for sure did not happen.”
“Everyone was single, like I said earlier,” he added. “So then we realized things are maybe a bit serious in February, and that’s when this all started, and there’s not a whole lot more to it than that.”

West Wilson teases his plans for the Summer House Season 10 reunion
West also admitted that he has reached out to his fellow Summer House cast members during this time. “Yeah, I’ve sent some texts, haven’t gotten responses from everybody yet, which is to be expected, and I get it,” he noted.
He further revealed that he has plans to address things at the upcoming Summer House Season 10 reunion. “But that’s the hardest part, I think, with this whole situation, is my actions have hurt people that I care about,” he added. “But the reunion’s coming up, and I can give those apologies face-to-face, and also clear up all of the crazy s–t that’s been on the internet.”

Amanda Batula releases a statement amid the West Wilson relationship reveal
After taking a break from social media, Amanda returned to her Instagram Stories on April 10 to release her own statement.
“Hi guys, I’ll keep this short and sweet. I’ve obviously been MIA, but I wanted to come back on and say that I’m truly sorry to everyone I’ve disappointed and hurt, especially those I know personally who I’ve reached out to individually,” she wrote in the statement at the time.
Amanda continued, noting that she will further address the matter at the upcoming reunion. She wrote, “For the sake of my mental health, I’m going to try to start living life with some sense of normalcy. If you see me out or posting online, please know that this still weighs very heavily on me. I’m not ignoring what’s happened or what’s unfolded. I’ll be at the reunion and will be addressing any and all questions honestly and directly there.”
