K. Michelle’s country album is out very soon. The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 cast member previewed some of her songs from her new album during the RHOA Season 17 finale and is now sharing new details about her country pivot, the songs she’s releasing, and her career in music today.
K. Michelle appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday, Aug. 2, where she opened up about her first country music album, after previously having a career making R&B music. “This album is just for hard work,” she explained. “People always tell you you have to stay in a box or you can’t do certain things. Anything you want is worth the fight, and it’s just a relief to really be able to get it out and make my footsteps and take my journey into country music officially.”
K. Michelle had also touched on breaking out of the box during the RHOA Season 17 finale. “I came into this game an underdog,” she explained during a confessional. “To be here now, putting out a country album that people laughed at me about, is a moment for me that I will not take for granted.”

When does K. Michelle’s country music album come out?
K. Michelle’s country album, Jesus & Whiskey, will come out on Oct. 16, according to her RHOA Season 17 end card. The lead single from the nine-song album, “Jesus & Whiskey,” is out now.

What are K. Michelle’s songs?
K. Michelle currently has two country music songs, “Jesus & Whiskey” and “Jack Daniel’s,” out now. “It’s a feel record,” she told Billboard in September 2025 of the track, “Jack Daniel’s.” “It’s addictive, and those who caught the lyrics, I knew that they would be able to relate with me about Jack Daniel’s.”
In addition to these two songs, her upcoming country album, Jesus & Whiskey, will feature the songs: “Intro,” “Yodel,” “Blame Tennessee,” “Damn Good Friend,” “Anything (feat. Blush),” “Handle on It,” and “If It Ain’t Broke.”

K. Michelle spoke with PEOPLE in an interview published on July 30 where she opened up about how growing up in Memphis, Tennessee led to her career pivot. “Being a Tennessee girl, [country] is my first genre of choice, and I was always told because of other reasons, I couldn’t sing that,” she told the publication. “When it came down to it, I am a country singer. It’s new to the world, but to everyone around me, they know it’s my whole life, so it’s time to do what it is I do, and I’m really excited about it.”
She continued, admitting the album had been a long time coming. “I’m not an artist doing a country album. I’m a country artist,” she stated. “And it’s just amazing to see people go pull up old work and even hear the R&B albums, and they would tell me then, ‘She sounds like a country singer. Why isn’t she?’ It’s coming.”
