When it comes to their ties to the state of Rhode Island, the cast of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island not only call the small state home but also have built big lives there, complete with thriving businesses and loving families in gorgeous homes. And in Season 1 of the Bravo series, the RHORI cast have opened their doors and welcomed viewers inside their houses, located in various towns and neighborhoods in the state.
We have all the details on where Alicia Carmody, Rosie DiMare, Ashley Iaconetti, Liz McGraw, Rulla Nehme Pontarelli, Kelsey Swanson, and Jo-Ellen Tiberi call home in the Ocean State.
Where do the RHORI cast members live?
Alicia Carmody
Alicia is from Rhode Island and grew up in the state. She currently lives in the East Side section. Her home includes a pool house, all-white living and dining rooms, and a space for her most beloved possessions: “How could I forget? Obviously, these are my dolls.”
Rosie DiMare
Rosie grew up nearby in Massachusetts and later relocated to Rhode Island, and is a former television news anchor in the state. She currently lives in North Kingston, where she has done renovations on her house. She explained to BravoTV.com. “We are in the middle of a 5,000-square-foot project, where you can see we are going to have a very beautiful home,” teasing future plans to also “transform” her current living space once the main construction is completed sometime this summer.
Ashley Iaconetti
While Ashley isn’t originally from Rhode Island (she is from Virginia), she now calls West Greenwich home with her husband and kids. Their home comes complete with a front porch, a shrine to her wedding day, and a basement playroom. “I needed a place where I could just let go and let them play,” she told BravoTV.com.
Liz McGraw
Liz is from Rhode Island and has become a successful entrepreneur in her home state. She now lives in Cranston in a 150-year-old mansion. And her decor fits her palatial home, complete with eclectic throne chairs, a knight in shining armor named “George,” a crystal ball, and a huge closet space. “We made the rest of the first floor our closet!” she said.
Jo-Ellen Tiberi
Also a Rhode Island native, Jo-Ellen also lives in Cranston, like Liz. Jo-Ellen’s home has high ceilings, a glass staircase, and a “his and hers” shower for her and her husband. She explained, “Keep Gary over there, because he doesn’t leave me alone; I get the good side, away from him.”
Rulla Nehme Pontarelli
Rulla is from Rhode Island and lives in Lincoln these days. She’s opened up about what it was like to have camera crews in her house in a Q&A with fans and BravoTV.com. “Having cameras in the home was definitely invasive at first. It took a lot to get used to that. I don’t want people to think there might be just one or two cameramen or women or crew in the house. It’s literally a team. At any given point, we might have a dozen or 15 or 20. I think after a while you get used to it. But at first, it was a little bit overwhelming,” she said.
Kelsey Swanson
Kelsey Swanson is from Rhode Island — and even held the title of Miss Rhode Island 2017. She resides in East Greenwich in a massive home that includes his and hers toilets with their own TVs, a salon and spa for in-home massages, and two kitchens. It’s also the place to party, as she shared, “We bring the club to us.”
What are the RHORI cast’s Rhode Island roots?
Jo-Ellen, Rulla, Kelsey, Liz, and Alicia all grew up in Rhode Island. And while Rosie didn’t grow up in Rhode Island, she grew up nearby in TKTK. In fact, the women and their loved ones have close ties to the community in which they live. Ashley’s husband, TK, grew up in Rhode Island and is now a local business owner of a coffeehouse with her, Audrey’s. Liz is also a local entrepreneur and owns one of the country’s most successful dispensaries. Alicia’s fiancé, Billy, is also the owner of a popular local restaurant, Pizza Mamma.
The RHORI cast opens up about living in Rhode Island
Several members of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island cast have opened up about what it’s like to live in Rhode Island and what makes it such a unique place to live.
“Rhode Island is one of the most beautiful places — especially in the summer — but the people here are crazy. I mean, I grew up like ten minutes from the border, and I even lived in Providence as a little kid, but I spent most of my time in Massachusetts growing up, and you would think that I’m from another planet. Like, ‘Welcome to Rhode Island, bitch’ will be something you hear on the show, as if I just moved here when I’ve been here for 10 years and I grew up 10 minutes from the border,” Rosie shared with BravoTV.com.
Alicia noted how important those Rhode Island roots are and the bonds she’s formed in her life, sharing, “I am very Rhode Island. We love to be close to our family. I have the same group of friends since I was in preschool. I’ll go to the same Starbucks every day. I know everybody in the neighborhood. And I’m never leaving.”
Liz also spoke on how tight-knit a community there is in her home state, saying, “When we walk in a restaurant, regardless of what restaurant it is, we pretty much know everyone there.”
Rulla did have some suggestions for towns to move to if you’re thinking of calling Rhode Island home. “If I weren’t in Lincoln, I would strongly consider East Greenwich. Because that was my debate: It’s on the water. It’s near my marina. East Greenwich, Newport, because Newport is one of my faves. It’s an international destination. We’ve got all the water, the mansions, everything. So I would say my next two choices would be East Greenwich or Newport,” she said.
