The Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 crew will be docking in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on a new yacht this season. But the new and returning yachties, led by Captain Sandy Yawn, all call different places home.
There are some familiar faces returning to Below Deck Med Season 11. Captain Sandy will be at the helm of the yacht along with returning crew members, chief stew Aesha Scott, bosun Nathan Gallagher, and deckhand Joe Bradley. They will be joined by new crew members, which include chef Joy Lefaucheur; stews Gen Lillie, Kayley Smith, and Kat Johnston; and deckhands Cooper Dawson and Luke Brumer.

Where is Captain Sandy Yawn from?
Captain Sandy Yawn calls Bradenton, Florida, home. When she isn’t applying her 37 years of experience as the captain of yachts, she told BravoTV.com that she is “snowboarding, skiing, and playing in the water.”
Where is Aesha Scott from?
Longtime chief stew Aesha Scott calls Tauranga, New Zealand, home. But Aesha stays very busy during her time on the boat that she rarely gets time to call her husband, Scott Dobson. “I’m usually so busy going over orders or preferences for the next charter guests,” she told BravoTV.com. “I try to send a message to Scott or nap if I can. Even 10 minutes of closed eyes is a dream.”
Where is Nathan Gallagher from?
Nathan Gallagher, a dad of one, hails from Burtonport, Ireland. Although Nathan is so skilled at deckhand skills, he told BravoTV.com that his “special skill” is “making people laugh.”
Where is Joe Bradley from?
Joe Bradley is originally from Alicante, Spain. Although the deckhand has had some romances throughout Below Deck Med Seasons 9 and 10, he told BravoTV.com that he only has his mind on one woman when he’s traveling for work — his mom. He noted that he misses “the most beautiful, kind, and powerful woman this world has to offer…my mother” when he’s traveling for work.
Where is Chef Joy Lefaucheur from?
Chef Joy Lefaucheur is no stranger to the water, as she is from St. Barth in the Caribbean. When she isn’t cooking on yachts, Joy told BravoTV.com that she enjoys “being successful, attractive, and eating ice cream in Italy.”

Where is Cooper Dawson from?
Below Deck Med newcomer Cooper Dawson is from Charleston, South Carolina. When he isn’t figuring out how to navigate M/Y Akira One, Cooper told BravoTV.com that he is “fishing, disc golfing, skincare, and lifting in the gym.”
Where is Gen Lillie from?
Gen Lillie, a stew, is from New York, New York. When asked to describe this season of Below Deck Med in three words by BravoTV.com, she said, “crazy, crash out, and man babies.”
Where is Kat Johnston from?
Kat Johnston is originally from Nova Scotia, Canada. She told BravoTV.com that working on M/Y Akira is akin to being in Twilight. “Working in the interior, sometimes you don’t see sunlight for days,” she explained. “So, basically, I turn into Edward Cullen.”
Where is Kayley Smith from?
Kayley Smith, a stew with one year of experience, is from Sydney, Australia. When she isn’t setting up tablescapes, the yachtie told BravoTV.com that she “can rap Eminem’s famous verse in ‘Rap God.'”
Where is Luke Brumer from?
Deckhand Luke Brumer is from Pretoria, South Africa. The Below Deck Med newcomer told BravoTV.com that the one thing he misses about home when he’s on M/Y Akira One is “my solitude.”
