Joe Bradley is opening up about where he stands with Nathan Gallagher after Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 (streaming on Peacock now). The deckhand and bosun have had a number of issues with each other throughout the season, which have bubbled over into their lives today.
Joe spoke with Us Weekly on July 14 where he admitted that he has had “absolutely no” contact with Nathan, even though Nathan had reached out to him at one point. “He did message me when I was in Australia,” Joe said. “But I didn’t answer him back so he can taste his own medicine.”
Though the two are currently on the outs, Joe did note that he admires Nathan’s devotion to his 1-year-old son, Kayden Cameron Gallagher, who he shares with Below Deck Med alum Gael Cameron. As Joe put it, “I love the fact that he’s a working man and he fights for his family and he’s put himself in that position financially to fight for his family.”
“I can’t take that from him,” he continued. “I admire that as much as I don’t like him. I admire fighting for your family.”

What happened between Joe Bradley and Nathan Gallagher on Below Deck Med Season 11?
Although Joe and Nathan are in a good place so far on Below Deck Med Season 11, Joe revealed to Reality Tea on July 13 that there is more rockiness to come from their tumultuous relationship. “You’re gonna have to wait and see,” he said. “But no one knows who Nathan is, although you’ll get to know who Nathan is, I’m hoping. I know who he is, though, and it’s alarming. And that’s why today, I don’t want to have anything to do with him.”

Below Deck Med Captain Sandy Yawn exclusively spoke with Bravo Insider in June, where she admitted that she was “very” surprised by their drama after Joe and Nathan first met as deckhands on Below Deck Med Season 9.Â
“How can you go from something so close to something so — in my opinion, I think Nathan actually was wrong by judging Joe,” she said, referencing Nathan’s disapproval of Joe’s messy boatmances. “When you’re in leadership, it’s not your job to judge them on their moral compass. It’s your job to judge them on their work performance. You know what I mean? And that’s something you should keep separate.”

After Joe and Nathan became fast friends on Below Deck Med Season 9, Joe was supposed to visit Nathan after the charter season aired. But, Nathan’s relationship with Gael put a stop to their plans.Â
After that, Joe and Nathan continued to clash during Below Deck Med Season 10 when Joe weighed in on Nathan’s relationship with Gael, and Nathan weighed in on Joe’s relationships with deckhand Victoria “V” SanJuan and stew Kizzi Kitchener.Â
The relationship issues have continued into Below Deck Med Season 11, when Nathan was unhappy to hear Joe bring up Gael’s name between charters.
