Patricia Altschul is here to remind us that her friendships with the Southern Charm inner circle run deep. Patricia recently took to Instagram to share a new look at her tight-knit group of friends, which includes Shep Rose, Craig Conover, and, of course, Madison LeCroy.
In the photo, the foursome pose together in various glammed-up looks with Craig in a beige suit, Shep in a stripped-button-down shirt and periwinkle pants, Madison in a midi-length white lace dress with a ruffle, and Patricia in a lavender muumuu complete with fur sleeves. “Friends for over 13 years,” the Southern Charm matriarch captioned the sweet photo of her with Shep, Craig, and Madison all hanging out at her famous home in Charleston.
As it turns out, Madison was also the only person in the photo completely bathed in a ray of light. “Not gonna lie, I thought we all were in the light!” Madison commented with a laughing emoji. Shep added a quote from the Grateful Dead song, “Truckin’,” in the comments, writing, “‘Sometime the lights all shining on me. Other times i can barely see. Lately, it occurs to me. What long strange trip it’s been’.”

Inside Patricia Altschul and Madison LeCroy’s friendship
It’s only the latest look that Patricia has shared of her close bond with Madison. Days before, she shared a video of herself showing off the proper way to get into a car and tagged Madison in the post, who can be heard goofing around with Patricia off-camera.Â
Also in April, Patricia shared a photo of herself out with Madison as well as Austen Kroll and her son, Whitney Sudler-Smith, while they were grabbing something to eat at a local Charleston eatery.Â
And, in case you needed any more proof that Patricia has so much love for Madison, back in March, she shared a selfie with her longtime BFF and captioned it, “Even more beautiful in person.”

Patricia Altschul reflects on joining Southern Charm
In the past, Patricia opened up about her evolution from socialite to reality TV icon. And, she mostly has her son, Whitney, to thank for it. “He did tell me at the beginning, ‘Just be on it for five minutes, and that’s all you have to do,'” she recently recalled to The Daily Dish about her origins on the show back in 2019. “And now he says, ‘Mother, please don’t talk too much. Watch what you say. Edit what you say.’ And, of course, I just say whatever pops into my head. But I think that gives him ulcers.”
