The RHUGT Season 6 premiere kicked off with Nene visiting Porsha’s home for a pre-travel debrief on the other ladies joining the cross-country adventure. Though Nene mentioned that it had been a “long time” since she and Porsha seen each other, their playful banter amid a quick catch-up session made it seem clear that the former The Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates were picking up right where they left off.
After learning more about Porsha’s newly exclusive relationship with girlfriend Patrice “Sway” McKinney, Nene remarked, “As long as you’re happy, that’s the only thing that matters,” further illustrating where the two stand today.
Porsha, for her part, was quick to give Nene her flowers amid The Real Housewives reaching a 20-year anniversary milestone on RHUGT. “This whole thing is about iconic Housewives, but what about the iconic Housewife?” Porsha asked, as clips of Nene’s most memorable RHOA moments rolled. Both women, meanwhile, agreed that Nene’s Housewives comeback was “huge.”

As Porsha ran down the list of her fellow RHUGT: Roaring 20th cast members, Nene made note of her relationships with Vicki, Kyle, and Luann. When Porsha mentioned that she didn’t know Vicki before filming, Nene replied, “I think Vicki’s cool. I think she’s loud, but she’s cool.” The RHOA alum also said that she knew Luann but grew most animated when Kyle’s name came up. “Now that is my girl!” Nene gushed.

When her cameo was first revealed in January, Bravo posted an Instagram photo of Nene posing with the entire core cost, who also include Teresa Giudice, Gizelle Bryant, and Lisa Barlow. Nene’s ear-to-ear smile seemed to indicate that she was on good terms with all of them, and the feeling appeared to be mutual. In the post’s comments section, Vicki wrote, “We love you, [Nene],” while Lisa added, “Everything,” along with a red heart emoji.
Where Nene Leakes stands with her former RHOA castmates
As Porsha teased in an Episode 1 confessional, Nene will be back for a second RHUGT appearance during the cast’s upcoming stop in Atlanta, which is where the previously mentioned group photo was taken. Because a whopping total of 82 Housewives, past and present, will be featured on the show by season’s end, Nene is bound to run into some more of her former RHOA castmates too.
Among those women is Phaedra Parks, who also posed in the photo of Nene and the RHUGT ladies. On Jan. 24, Porsha also uploaded an Instagram video, showing her, Phaedra, and Nene giddily recreating the iconic “Bling, bling, bling! Bitches is mad!” moment from RHOA Season 4.
Cynthia Bailey, who’s previously shared in interviews that she and Nene are friends today, also commented on several posts about her former castmate’s comeback, confirming that all is still good between them. Marlo Hampton, meanwhile, also dropped several fire emojis below Bravo’s post about Nene’s comeback.

Following several ups and downs in their friendship on RHOA, Nene also indicated in a May 2026 interview that she and Kim Zolciak are even in a much better place today as well. “Kim and I are on a good page,” Nene recently revealed in a Vulture video. “We don’t have any problems. I’ve bumped into her several times. I actually just DM’ed her the other day.”
