The Real Housewives of Potomac‘s Ashley Darby has two kids — Dean and Dylan Darby — whom she shares with her ex-husband, Michael Darby. Ahead of Season 11, the longtime RHOP cast member opened up about what it’s been like to raise them on the show.

“Dean and Dylan love being on camera,” Ashley told Bravo Insider. “They think that it’s just so cool and so fun. I think initially they were a little shy when we first started, but then you can watch this metamorphosis as the seasons continue, and they just really come into their own on the camera.”
“It’ll be so cool for me to be able to look back and see,” she added of her family’s RHOP journey. “I’ve given a lot of myself in my life over these last 11 years, so it’ll be cool to see how my motherhood journey has evolved, too.”

Ashley previously told Bravo Insider that Dean is “like a little human calculator.”
“He’s always doing math and engineering,” she added. “It’s definitely in his DNA from his dad.”
What’s more, “He does every Lego. There’s no Lego that’s too hard for him,” Ashley said of Dean. “He does the 18-year-old ones, he does the 3,000-piece Legos. I mean, he’s 6 years old and just sits in a corner and does these incredible Lego creations.
Suffice to say, Dean was “flourishing” by the time he reached first grade.

Ashley told Bravo Insider in October 2025 that Dylan really looks up to his older brother. More specifically, “He’s following in his brother’s footsteps with everything creative.”

Today, Ashley’s sons are so active and happy. She took to her Instagram account on Sept. 5, 2026 with a video of both of the boys at the gym working out with different machines. “Happy HyroxDC weekend to all those who are celebrating!” she wrote in the caption of the post. “Give us 13 years and the dynamic Darbys will be rowing and Skierg’ing away.”
Prior to that, in April, Ashley took to Instagram to reveal that she and both boys had traveled to the Florida everglades because they had been asking “to go fishing for over a year.”
“We caught a whopping 18 fish!! We couldn’t keep any this time, but we are eager to bring some fish to scale and eat very soon,” Ashley wrote in the caption of the post. “There are times I worry that I’m not doing my sons justice as a single woman – quite often actually – but I lean on my faith in God to show me how to be the best mom for these amazing children, and He always shows me the way.”
