Ava Dash opens up about Damon Dash’s reported eviction from her NYC apartment
Ava revealed that her dad received an eviction notice from their shared apartment in NYC during Next Gen NYC Season 2, Episode 1. “I honestly love seeing what people put out about me and my family and my life on the internet,” Ava said in an interview during the episode. “I think it’s funny, at the end of the day. Some things are so wrong, it’s just like, ‘Whatever, I’m not gonna comment on it.’ But some things are so right, and I’m like, ‘How the f–k did they know that?'”
She further cleared things up in a recent interview with Elite Daily. “We were late on rent payments, and then we paid them, and everything was fine,” she told the publication. “The landlord and I still text. She wanted me to extend my lease. She watches the show.”
Ava Dash shares insight into her friendships with her Next Gen NYC cast members
Ava admitted to the publication that she got off on the wrong foot with Next Gen NYC cast members Ariana Biermann and Gia Giudice over the way they spoke about each other on podcasts after Season 1. This could be seen during Next Gen NYC Season 2, Episode 1, when Ava revealed that Gia called her a liar on a podcast episode. “I just don’t want to be called a liar. And when your friends are talking badly about you in the public. That’s not a good look,” she said during a confessional. “I don’t wanna bring this up at Emira [D’Spain]’s party, but we’re gonna have to figure that one out.”
But, they’re in a very good place today. “They didn’t know how I worked, and I didn’t really know how they worked,” Ava told Elite Daily. “Now that I understand more where everyone’s head is at, I know that their intentions weren’t malicious.”Â

She revealed to the outlet that she is very close to her cast members. “I was actually friends with these people beforehand, but now I can get paid to hang out with them. That, for me, is the best part of all of this,” she said.
Ava Dash opens up about her connection to Kyle Cooke
Ava is currently single and not dating In The City cast member Kyle Cooke after they were spotted getting a drink together. Ava opened up about this meeting in her interview with Elite Daily. “When that came out, I had met him once, and he posted a photo of us and the caption was like, ‘next gen and old gen.’ So dad coded,” she said. “I’m like, ‘This is not a thing.’ Now, I know him better, and he’s great, but at the time I was like, ‘Are we OK?'”
Kyle appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday, March 10, where he confirmed that nothing happened with Ava during their outing. “We were at a family dinner doing a family blessing, holding hands, so I was holding her [hand],” Kyle said. “It was just a random drinking day in New York.”
