Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11’s M/Y Akira One has become the new love boat, now that Amy Laurent has returned for another matchmaking charter.
During the preference sheet meeting in Episode 6 (streaming on Peacock beginning July 14), Captain Sandy Yawn announced that new incoming primary charter guest Suzanne Klein, whom she described as “a glamorous entrepreneur, world traveler and proud dog mom to the love of her life, Sugar Baby,” would be accompanied by a familiar special guest. “Suzanne has hired a lead matchmaker, Amy Laurent, to bring on six eligible bachelors to see who she connects with on this matchmaking charter,” Captain Sandy explained to her crew.
In a separate meeting with her interior team, Aesha Scott declared, “Oh no, not Amy! She’s so annoying. She was on last season.” Amid questions from her stews, Aesha elaborated, “She’s just very involved in our jobs.”

In a confessional, the chief stew added, “Amy means well, but she is very Type A — capital A, bold, triple underlined, italic A. But it is my job to help her do her job, and that job is to make love… not with each other.”
Who Is Below Deck Med Matchmaker Amy Laurent?
Amy Laurent is the founder of Amy Laurent Elite Matchmaking and has appeared on Bravo multiple times over the years. Prior to her role in Below Deck Med Season 10’s matchmaking charter, Amy was also a cast member on Bravo’s Miss Advised, which aired in 2012.
According to her business website, Amy is “the nation’s most trusted elite matchmaker with over 20 years of experience curating unique introductions for CEOs, high profile executives, entrepreneurs, celebrities and high-net-worth individuals.” She works with clients who “value privacy, success, and precision,” primarily in New York, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Florida.
Amy’s professional bio also highlights that she was “famously endorsed by” Oprah Winfrey herself. Her Bravo bio, meanwhile, touted her features in publications such as The New York Times, Miami Herald, Oprah Magazine, Men’s Health, and Cosmopolitan. Amy also released her book, 8 Weeks to Everlasting: A Step-By-Step Guide to Getting (and Keeping!) the Guy You Want, in 2012.
Details on Amy Laurent’s previous matchmaking charter on Below Deck Med Season 10
Previously on Below Deck Med Season 10, Amy attempted to help her client Joe find love from a pool of six single women she’d invited to go on his matchmaking charter. As Aesha noted more recently in Season 11, Amy had gotten very involved in the logistic and details of their work, including everything from dinner service to cabin assignments, at the time.
By Season 10, Episode 8, which aired in November 2025, Joe had narrowed down his pool of potential matches to two ladies, Alicia and Ashleigh. Conflict arose, however, when the final night of the charter arrived and he still couldn’t decide between the two remaining women. When Joe proposed simply continuing to date and get to know both women better on dry land, neither was on board with his idea.

After he went to bed that night, Alicia and Ashleigh mutually decided to “dump” Joe. Ashleigh didn’t even say goodbye before departing the yacht the next morning, but Alicia, in the interim, apparently had a change of heart and agreed to continue pursuing a potential romance with him off of the boat. Amy accompanied the two as they left the vessel together with little fanfare.
Post-charter, Captain Sandy revealed in an exclusive interview with Bravo Insider that the Season 10 matchmaking charter, which she dubbed a “brilliant idea,” certainly marked a first in her yachting career. “How romantic, right?” she remarked. “You want them to find love. You’re, like, looking at everyone, watching the dynamics. The crew are like all talking, going, ‘Who do you think is gonna hook up? Do you think they’re gonna walk off? Are they gonna be angry? Are they gonna hate each other?'”
Sandy continued, “To me, that was very entertaining, especially for us as crew. You pick your favorite one, right? You go, ‘Oh, I hope he ends up with her.'”
