Los Angeles, California – Rapper Jay-Z is reportedly set to headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show!
According to Puck, the 56-year-old music magnate, who oversees the selection of the halftime performer, has picked himself to take the coveted gig.
Insiders say the move has “long felt inevitable” and is the “natural next step” of Roc Nation’s massive deal with the NFL, which was first signed in 2019.
The report also dished that Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber were considered for the slot. The two musicians have both recently returned to the stage after years away from touring, sparking some early speculation among fans.

As for Jay-Z, the Grammy winner has been back on the road celebrating the anniversaries of his hit albums Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint. He sold out three nights at Yankee Stadium back in July, where he welcomed special guests like Rihanna and his superstar wife, Beyoncé.
Considering the tradition of surprise performers hitting the stage during the halftime show, fans can certainly expect plenty of star power to join the headliner!
