An Arizona woman spent years terrorizing her own family with rape and death threats while posing as an innocent man, saying things like “can’t wait to press and push the trigger against your hubby’s head” and “feel like killing you … and dismembering your body,” cops allege.
“You’ll never get rid of me,” said Shelbey Fernandez, 30, of Peoria, in one of her alleged threats, which were hurled at family members and others in text messages, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by Law&Crime.
“I feel like skinning that son of a b—,” she wrote in another, according to the affidavit. “Feel like killing you. Driving your corpse out to the Sahara [desert] and dismembering your body.”

Fernandez allegedly used a series of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone numbers to send her messages, which were aimed at her own parents and other family members in Arizona and Florida. Police say she posed as the husband of a former doctor she had seen and also “swatted” her victims, which is the act of making false police reports to get authorities to show up at someone’s house.
“I wish I could f— you … Then throw you in a pond and watch gators tear you apart,” Fernandez allegedly told one person. “How did you like getting swatted yesterday? I’ll have your residential area swatted again if you keep ignoring me.”
In addition to making sexual assault threats, Fernandez also sent explicit photos of children to her loved ones. “I’ll keep sending child porn,” she allegedly said. “Nothing you can do. I have authorities in my family.”
Fernandez also allegedly threatened to carry out a church shooting, saying, “Can’t wait to shoot up their cult facility, and annihilate every cult gathering of their kind.”
Police state in the affidavit that Fernandez sent a picture of an unclothed infant to her own mother, “insinuating that this was an image of the minor daughter” of the doctor and her husband that Fernandez was posing as.
“I’m so ecstatic I have more victims to f— with,” Fernandez allegedly said.
The harassment went on from 2019 to Aug. 6, 2026, with Fernandez finally being linked to the messages and swatting earlier this month. She is facing more than 50 separate charges of making terrorist threats, harassment by false report, stalking, and sexual exploitation of a minor.
Fernandez is due in court on Aug. 20 for a preliminary hearing.
