Yvonne Najor details the significance of planning her wedding dinner

In addition to celebrating her marital milestone with Nick, the evening marked another special moment for Yvonne as she planned her first event months after she was laid off from her longtime marketing job in hospitality. 

“That was really the first time that I kind of reconnected with the things that I’m really good at. Like, I put that entire event together,” she explained. “I was back with a chef team, a beverage team. It was my wedding, but also reconnecting with myself and kind of getting back to the things that I love.”

With that in mind, she admitted with a laugh, “My expectations may have been a little different for what I thought the night was gonna be versus what it turned out to be.”

When planning the special evening, Yvonne went all out for the dinner at Dilli Dilli restaurant. “I completely transformed the room with draping [and] candles,” she shared.

While viewers got a peek at the food, Yvonne revealed there was much more to the jaw-dropping meal. 

“The whole thing was a five-course dinner experience,” she explained. Some of the menu items included crispy okra, roasted lamb chops, and sweet potato steak.

While Yvonne made her feelings clear about Danielle Olivera’s light pink dress that appeared white to some (check it out in the video above), she revealed she harped on the issue even more than viewers saw. “I feel like I commented on the white dress probably like 20 times,” she said.

However, she now wishes she had handled the situation differently. “Danielle did text me a photo [before the dinner]. I was in the middle of so many things, I did not really think twice about the dress when she sent me the picture,” she admitted. “But I don’t think any host should ever call out their guest in front of everyone. That wasn’t my best moment. But then when she came back and called me a bitch, I was like, ‘Woah!’”

Yvonne, who told Bravo Insider she and Lindsay typically “do not fight,” called Lindsay out during the dinner for not putting a stop to the drama unfolding. After some reflection, she feels differently about the situation today. 

“Looking back at it, everyone was fighting, but in that moment, I wanted her to kind of help me get the group back together. You saw my reaction to that,” she said. “I think the best friendships are when you have to have those hard conversations, and you can work through them. In that moment, I was so mad at her, but looking back at it and seeing everything play out, I’m like, ‘Oh, maybe I was a little too hard on her.’ Because she wasn’t the only person who was starting the fights.”
