Teen Cheerleader Taken Off Life Support Days After Bonfire Shooting Leaves Her Brain Dead – Crime Online

An Alabama man is expected in court this week, as one of the women he allegedly shot on Sunday died from her injuries.

Jefferson County coroners confirmed Kimber Mills’ death to WVTM. Steven Tyler, 27, allegedly shot Mills, 18, and three others on Sunday at a bonfire in Pinson.

Mills, who was declared brain-dead, had her organs donated before she was removed from life support.

Mills’ sister claimed Whitehead crashed the bonfire, and that Mills and her friends did not know him. Whitehead allegedly tried to offer a drink and talk to one of Mills’ friends, who alerted her boyfriend. A large fight reportedly ensued before gunshots broke out.

AL.com reported that one of the shooting victims, an 18-year-old male, remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Whitehead has been charged with murder and attempted murder. He remains jailed without bond.
