Amid many life changes among the familiar faces in The Valley: Persian Style‘s cast, one thing that’s remained the same is the long-running feud between Tommy Feight and Reza Farahan.
The subject arose during the Season 1 premiere when Tommy dropped off his wife, Mercedeh Javid, at Golnesa Gharachedaghi’s son Elijah’s fifth birthday party, but declined to attend the celebration with her.
“My wife will always try to get me to come to things, but when you bring Reza into the equation, I do not hang out with people that I don’t like,” Tommy explained to a producer, before reminding viewers how their beef started more than six years ago. “When my son was born, Reza wasn’t there.”Â

A pair of Shahs of Sunset flashbacks from 2019 provided more context on how Mercedeh was in the ICU, following several health complications she experienced while giving birth to their only son, Shams Feight, in April 2019. As an emotional Tommy told Mercedeh in one clip, “You know Reza 30 years, dude, and he left you to rot in the hospital. He knew the severity. He knew how bad it was.”
Even though Mercedeh and Reza have since mended fences, Tommy hasn’t been quite as willing to offer his forgiveness.
Back in his confessional on The Valley: Persian Style, Tommy said, “That’s why it’s not easy for me just to … turn the page. It’s not.”
Mercedeh Javid weighed in on Tommy Feight and Reza Farahan’s beef
Prior to arriving at Elijah’s birthday bash, Mercedeh told Tommy that she was “braced for the shade” that her friends might throw, due to his absence, in addition to fielding inevitable questions about the status of their marriage.
“I’ve already covered this with all the people involved,” Tommy shot back. “I’m not gonna be guilt-tripped into these things every time we do something. … My marriage is fine.”

Later in the episode, Mercedeh sat down with new castmate Natasha Kashanian, who remarked, “I wish Tommy would come around more. Is everything OK with, like, everyone and him?”
Before answering, Mercedeh gave her account of what happened in a confessional: “Tommy and Reza had a really big falling out. What we all went through was like friendship tsunami. It just ended everything. They haven’t seen each other; they haven’t talked to each other; they just completely left it. And I’m in the middle. I feel the like 6-year-old girl who witnessed the very last biggest fight before their parents got a divorce.”
As she added to Natasha, “I pray for us and everyone that, you know, it just moves forward peacefully. And, like, I don’t like it.”
What’s ahead for Tommy Feight and Reza Farahan on The Valley: Persian Style
Viewers can expect the ongoing drama between Tommy and Reza to continue playing out on The Valley: Persian Style.
The Season 1 trailer already previewed an upcoming sit-down between Reza and Mercedeh, during which he asked her, “Is Tommy open to being friends?” The clip cut away before she answered, however.
The official series announcement further teased that Reza is “finally in a solid place” with Mercedeh, but there are some “old wounds that still linger.”
As for Mercedeh and Tommy, the “pressures of family, career, and loyalty threaten to tear them apart” on Season 1. Though you’ll have to tune in to see how they navigate their relationship issues on the show, Mercedeh and Tommy eventually filed for divorce in October 2025 after seven years of marriage.
