The Valley’s Lala Kent is getting candid about her dating life, and according to some, she might be a little “obsessed.”
Comments she made during a Jan. 21 Amazon Live stream are making rounds on Instagram, namely in response to fans’ questions about the relationship status with her “mystery man.” Although she kept the update vague, she confessed that she talks about the subject a lot, at least according to her mom and brother, Lisa and Easton Burningham, respectively.
“My mom and my brother say I always talk about men, and I get obsessed,” she began. “I haven’t been into a guy for years.”
The former Vanderpump Rules hostess didn’t specify whether she was still seeing the aforementioned gentleman or if things ended not long after they began. She continued, “I never talk about boys, but it’s nice to talk about something other than working and being a mom. This makes me feel like a normal person. So, allow me to obsess.”
A timeline of Lala Kent’s relationships over the years
Those tuned in to the West Hollywood restaurant-based series should be quite familiar with Lala and her ex-fiancé, film producer Randall Emmett. The pair went public with their relationship in 2018, the same year they became engaged.
Ultimately, they broke things off in 2021, but not before Lala gave birth to their only shared child, now-4-year-old Ocean Kent Emmett.
Fast forward to 2024, when Lala chose to get pregnant with a sperm donor, resulting in the birth of her second daughter, Sosa Kent, on Sept. 3, 2024.

Although dating rumors linked her to former Vanderpump Rules castmate Tom Schwartz — who joins Lala in the upcoming Season 3 of The Valley — Lala has not confirmed being in a public relationship with any specific individual. Things, however, seemed to shift direction when she announced in December that she was in the early stages of a romance with her unnamed fella.
“I have someone who I’ve been communicating with,” she said on the Dec. 26 episode of Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap. “He gets me giddy, and we’ll see where it goes. We’re just gonna have fun with it.”

Before confirming the mystery man, during BravoCon 2025 in November, Lala said she wasn’t quite ready to give up on her quest for love. In fact, she didn’t mince words when boldly stating, “I am talking to men.”

“I used to hate the word dating, because I’m like, it seems there’s potential when you use the word dating, and there’s not,” she continued. “I have recently said, you know, I’m choosing my peace. But with that can come a good man. So I have given it up to the universe and said, ‘OK, I’m open to dating.’ And we’ll see what happens.”
Lala Kent explains why she prefers dating younger men
Though leaving her love life to fate, Lala had revealed in the aforementioned Housewives Nightcap episode that she preferred younger guys as of late. Why? “They got some pep in the step,” she said.
She continued, “The younger men, they say they love that you have your own thing going on, and they actually mean it. They want you to be out there empowering yourself. For me, I’m like, ‘Oh, this is a great fit, because I don’t need anything from you… You can be here to cheer me on and look amazing.’ And I feel like I have a young spirit.”
