PLANT CITY, Fla. (TCN) —Â Police are searching for a suspect after a mother, grandmother, infant, and child were found dead in their homes.
According to a news release from the Plant City Police Department, officers received a report of a disturbance on May 3 and responded to a home where they found two children, ages 4 months old and 4 years old, and pronounced them dead at the scene from gunshot wounds. Their mother, 28, was also present, and was transported to a hospital for treatment. She was later pronounced dead. A third child was also found in the home but had not been injured.
During the investigation, police found another victim, the 28-year-old’s mother, 55. She had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene, about a half a mile from where the other family members had been shot. According to The Sun, police believe that one of the women walked with the children from one location to the other.
According to neighborhood resident Jodie Kott, the Sun reports that she heard two gunshots and was later told by a neighbor that the 28-year-old and her children had been shot in the driveway next door.
Police have asked area residents and business owners to review video surveillance footage from between 5:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. on May 3.Â
The investigation is ongoing.
