Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke Update After Summer House Fight

The smoldering tension between Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke finally combusted during the last weekend of Summer House Season 10 — but their fight ended almost as quickly as it began.

Episode 15 picked back up with Kyle and Carl’s intense clash outside the house. Though Kyle’s initial blowup was sparked when Lindsay Hubbard called him out for supposedly making a major career move without consulting his wife, Amanda Batula, Carl voluntarily entered the fray with what appeared to be some deep-seated resentment over him not investing in Soft Bar.

Kyle, for his part, was already incensed that Carl seemed to be airing his grievances with everyone except him, despite the fact that they’d already had multiple conversations on the matter.

Following some castmate intervention amid insults flying back and forth, cooler heads prevailed, and Kyle eventually approached Carl to “squash” the beef between them. After swiftly hugging it out, the two exchanged apologies, took accountability for their parts, and unpacked the sources of their sudden anger (more on that below).

As for the specifics of Kyle and Carl’s fight, both claimed that the details of what had just happened between them were “a blur.” By the end of their conversation, Kyle asked, “We’re good, right?”, and Carl answered in the affirmative, with more apologies, hugs, and ‘I love you’s following.

“I don’t want to fight with you like that,” Carl declared, prompting Kyle to respond, “That was f–kin’ horrific.”

Inside Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke’s reconciliation conversation

When Kyle joked that Carl “needed to get it out” anyway, the latter admitted that his point was “a little bit” true, before making an important clarification. “I’m not upset at all about the Soft Bar investment thing,” Carl insisted. “That’s never been a thing. I said a lot of s–t out there. I know I was fired up.”

Carl also explained that, for him, things took a turn when he believed that Kyle had thrown a can of Loverboy at him. Kyle maintained that it was not the case, however, and expressed confusion over how the situation had escalated between them in the first place.

“Kyle, I just want the best for you,” Carl said. “You felt attacked, and I get it. But I’m sorry, when I see you tell your wife, ‘F–k you,’ that is out of line.”

From there, Kyle went on to explain why Amanda’s behavior had triggered him, in addition to unpacking just how deep the issues between them were. “I’m taking bullets, and Amanda was eating it up,” he tearfully elaborated. “I can’t even remember the last time she stood up for me.”

After claiming that Amanda “can’t stand” him, Kyle added, “It is so beyond people’s comprehension of, like, what’s going on.” He also filled Carl in on how Ciara Miller had suggested earlier that day that he and Amanda “separate for a month.” That, in addition to Loverboy’s financial crisis, all contributed to why Kyle said he’d felt “like a mess” all summer, as his life seemed to be “falling apart” in front of his eyes.

“That’s, like, a horrible feeling. It just makes me sad for you,” Carl remarked, sharing that he wasn’t aware of any of that “heavy” information. “I’m sorry. I feel terrible about how I handled that.” Kyle, meanwhile, insisted, “That was more my bad than yours,” to which Carl replied, “Well, I got really mad and upset, and I didn’t want to add anything to your plate.”

When the two emerged from their chat, Kyle announced to some of their housemates, “I apologized to him, and he apologized to me. I let my emotions get the best of me. He was nice enough to give me some grace.”

Where Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke’s friendship stands after Summer House Season 10

Even after filming wrapped, Kyle and Carl’s friendship remained intact, according to recent updates they’ve shared on social media.

In April, for example, Kyle and Carl shared a behind-the-scenes look at an event they collaborated on at Soft Bar in their Instagram Stories. After they led a group on a 5K run around Brooklyn, Kyle even performed a DJ set at Carl’s alcohol-free bar and cafe.

Shortly afterward, Kyle also announced in a joint April 23 Instagram video that they had teamed up to raise $25,000 for charity. In the comments section, Carl wrote, “Love you, brother.”

More recently, Kyle shared a photo of himself and Carl hanging out with Lindsay and her 1-year-old daughter, Gemma Britt Kufe. “Modern family,” he captioned the May 9 post, adding a red heart emoji and the phrase “Summer House OGs 4 life.”
