Just two weeks into their relationship, Steven McBee Jr. had already decided that new girlfriend Allie Eklund was “the one.” In fact, he even put several family members on notice that they could expect to hear wedding bells sooner than later, on The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys.

Steven Jr. solidified his decision after introducing Allie to his family during Season 3, Episode 2 (available to stream on Peacock beginning June 23). He first mentioned his future plans in a phone call with Kacie Adkison and Alli McBee, declaring, “I’m about ready for a wedding. … I’m marrying this one. I told her from day one.”
When Alli, for one, asked if he thought he might be moving “a little fast,” Steven responded, “I’m 31 years old, I’m not getting any younger.” Still, his sister-in-law questioned if maybe he should “get to know her a little bit more” before popping the question. But Steven Jr. had an answer for that too.

“We’ve been talking nonstop day in and day out for the last two weeks,” he explained. “I had to tell her my dad’s going to prison in a month. That’s not a normal conversation you have with someone.”
Kacie, meanwhile, chimed in to point out that his mom, Kristi McBee, had only spent an hour with Allie. “That’s how crystal-clear it is,” Steven replied, before throwing some subtle shade at the duo’s relationships with his brothers Cole McBee and Jesse McBee. “Whenever you know, you know, Kacie. It doesn’t need to take seven years or 10 years, like y’all.”

A few days into Allie’s first visit to Gallatin, Mo., Steven finally invited the McBees to his home to meet his new girlfriend. Despite noticing some physical similarities between Allie and Steven Jr.’s ex-girlfriend Calah Jackson, several family members were quick to point out the major differences in the two women’s personalities. Steven agreed with them, remarking, “I feel they’re not even comparable. I was like, ‘Dang, this is what it’s like to have a girl that enjoys being around family.'”
During a separate conversation with the women, Allie commended Kristi for how she’d raised Steven and her three other sons. “He is so thoughtful,” Allie gushed. “And with boys, you just never know, if they don’t have sisters, how they’re gonna be.”

Needless to say, Allie’s introduction to the McBee family was a success.
“Things could not have gone better with Allie meeting my family,” Steven told a producer. “They seem to have really hit it off. She seems to enjoy all of their company, and she is fitting in so well on the farm — honestly, way better than I ever could have expected.”
Allie for her part added separately, “When I date someone, I want them to care about my family as much as I do. So, for me, seeing Steven feel the same way about his [family] was really special. It really made me see him in a different light, and a great light, and sped up our relationship because of it.”

During the McBee family’s annual Halloween bash later on, Steven repeated to Cole, “I think I’m probably going to marry her, for sure.” Cole’s response? “That’s pretty fast.” In a confessional, Cole added, “I can’t have him trying to propose before me, or I’ll even be in a deeper hole [with Kacie]. That can’t happen. I need him to slow down. It’s only been like two days.”
Outside the party, Cole insisted that he was “finally getting close to” proposing to Kacie. Steven then asked his brother “how much longer” he was thinking. “If I’m damn sure about who I’m with, it’s not gonna take me eight years to figure this out and put a ring on her finger,” he added. “And the last time I checked, Kacie don’t have a ring on her finger.”
Still, Cole asked Steven to give him a week, and the latter agreed to wait that long before pursuing an engagement with Allie.
