In the aftermath of their dramatic breakup, Georgia McCann’s ex-boyfriend Omar Zaki returned to Next Gen NYC to talk business with Charlie Zakkour.
Upon arriving at Omar’s office in Season 2, Episode 2 (streaming on Peacock beginning July 2), Charlie and Omar each declared that they had “much to discuss.” Not only were the details of their proposed professional partnership in opening a nightlife venue on the agenda, but Charlie also eventually brought up Georgia as well.
“Just to address the elephant in my life, which is Georgia, she’s, like, very convinced that we’re stealing this idea from her,” he informed Omar. (In Season 1, Georgia had partnered with Omar to open a bowling alley-themed club, but the venture did not move forward after their split.)

As Omar, who works in the venture capital space saw it, Georgia’s actual issue wasn’t with the club itself. “She’s just very upset that we’re friends somehow,” he theorized to Charlie. “At least we met.”
After Charlie described his friendship with Omar as the “silver lining” in the whole situation, the latter advised him, “Stay in your own lane, and I’m in my lane. And that’s all, you know?”
Georgia McCann’s issue with Omar Zaki and Charlie Zakkour’s business venture, explained
In a confessional, Georgia unpacked her issues with Omar and Charlie’s partnership, which was previously revealed during the Season 1 finale. “I have heard that they are opening a club together,” she said. “They are taking my idea with the same creative, the same everything. Neither of them came to me and told me. I had to find this out through the gay grapevine.”
Later, Georgia’s best friend Cooper told her that he thought it was “foul” that Charlie, with whom she used to be close, was “befriending” Omar after their breakup. “More than befriending,” she responded. “Like, stealing my business idea and creative. I hate that this keeps coming back to Charlie.”

Georgia continued, “I loved Charlie. I actually f–king loved him, and I cared about him. I had seen him, in moments, be caring. Like, he let me sleep on his couch for a month. That is not nothing. But then it’s like, you have… There’s like f–kin’ 7,000 other things that he did that are so unacceptable. Like, I had two clients in the past couple months say, ‘Our legal team is worried about hiring you because you have associations with Charlie Zakkour.’ … I just don’t like the association.”
At a separate event, Georgia echoed those comments to some of her castmates while breaking down Omar and Charlie’s relationship. “This is what happened,” she explained. “They met three f–king times before we broke up. And then we break up, and Charlie and Omar are texting, texting. And I’m like, ‘Are you talking to my ex?’ No, I haven’t spoken to him. Meanwhile, they’re stealing my company, they’re stealing my club idea, and lying to my face the whole time.”
Charlie, on the other hand, was quick to deny Georgia’s claim. “It’s not a f–king bowling alley,” he clarified to a producer. “It has absolutely nothing to do with anything she delusionally thinks she has creative ownership over.”
Inside Georgia McCann and Omar Zaki’s breakup
Also in Next Gen NYC‘s July 1 episode, Georgia offered a quick refresher on what happened between her and Omar. “The relationship I was in that everyone saw last year, it was literally insane,” she remarked in a confessional.
A series of clips reminded viewers how Georgia and Omar broke up amid a “fight” during a post-filming Christmas vacation in Singapore. Before they’d even returned to New York, Omar had already cut off Georgia financially and “had his assistant pack up [her] belongings” and deliver them outside Charlie’s door. She temporarily lived with Charlie before finding a new apartment.
“The breakup with Omar was logistically rough because we were living together and the end was quite messy,” Georgia shared in an exclusive interview with Bravo Insider at the time. “I’m doing well now and focusing on my dream life and not [living] vicariously through someone else.”
As for her planned business venture with her ex, she added, “There was some drama with that once the breakup with Omar happened. It’s a long story. I have the renders that are solely based on my creative direction and club ethos that look fabulous. The concept was based on my experience!”
Of course, the drama is only getting started, so don’t miss details on what to expect from Georgia and her castmates on Next Gen NYC Season 2.
