Although Hudson McLeroy and Charlie Zakkour were once more frenemies than friends, they have a new dynamic on Next Gen NYC Season 2, and it involves talking business. Hudson opened up about his involvement in Charlie’s investment opportunity during the Next Gen NYC After Show, after Charlie teamed up with Georgia McCann’s ex Omar Zaki to brainstorm a nightclub during Episode 2.
“They’re just like, ‘We need a million dollars,’” Hudson revealed during the Next Gen NYC After Show, and explained why he listened to the pitch. “They showed me, like, renderings of what the inside of the club is going to look like. And I entertained the idea just to hear about it, just to hear about what they were doing.”
But, he then revealed that the idea of his investment fizzled out. “And so I was like, ‘Well, if you can provide some kinda like this and that, I need at least some kind of business plan of where you’re trying to go with this. Then we can talk about that further,’” Hudson recalled. “But there was never any talk further.”
Charlie acknowledged he approached Hudson about the club. “Maybe me and Omar Face-Timed him once. And spoke about it. That sounds about right,” he admitted on the Next Gen NYC After Show. However, Charlie made it clear Hudson is no longer involved in his plans for a club.
“We don’t need Hudson’s money,” Charlie emphasized. “We wouldn’t need investors’ money, for lack of a better term.”

Hudson’s ex-girlfriend, Ariana Biermann, shared more of the backstory of Charlie approaching Hudson about money during Next Gen NYC’s July 1 episode. “Charlie was reaching out to Hudson throughout the summer,” she shared. “They would talk on the phone for like an hour. And Hudson would be like, ‘This guy’s f—king crazy.’ I’m like, ‘I know he’s crazy. Be careful.’”
She added, “Charlie asked him to invest in this club for a million dollars. Hudson was like, ‘I’m obviously not going to give him any money, I’m just entertaining the idea.’”

Hudson’s father, Zach McLeroy, is the founder of the chicken-forward fast food chain Zaxby’s. Ariana voiced her concerns that Charlie was using Hudson for his family’s money.
“Hudson has said that he knows that Charlie just wants money from him, or he has some incentive,” Ariana confided in Gia Giudice during the July 1 episode. “And I don’t know why Hudson is even falling for it.”

Hudson and Charlie’s newfound bromance puzzled the Next Gen NYC crew during the June 24 Season 2 premiere, as the two butted heads during Season 1 following Charlie declaring his desire to hook up with Hudson’s then-girlfriend, Ariana. But Hudson made clear that he had an ulterior motive for befriending Charlie.
“Well you know what they say. Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer,” Hudson revealed during the Next Gen NYC After Show. “I was avoiding Charlie flirting with Ariana by being friends with him.”
Ariana revealed that she was onto Hudson’s plan. “Hudson does sometimes like to play games, so maybe he thinks that if he’s friends with Charlie, Charlie won’t try anything with me,” she shared on the Next Gen NYC After Show, but then added, “Which, we were fully dating last year, and Charlie still was telling everybody how much he wants to f—k me.”

Hudson has since hinted that his friendship with Charlie has hit a rough patch. “I should’ve known better that the devil always has a bigger and deeper plan than anybody ever realizes,” he declared during the After Show.
