“I talked to Karen, and she said she wants to baby step her way back into, like, all things Housewives,” Gizelle said in Episode 5 of RHUGT: Roaring 20th, after Robyn Dixon asked if anyone knew why the Grande Dame had opted out of the trip to Atlanta.
That’s when Stacey Rusch pointed out that Karen “just got home,” prompting Gizelle to add, “I respect it. She’s still [a] Season 1 OG.”

Elsewhere in the discussion, which also included Ashley Darby and Candiace Dillard Bassett, the ladies also revisited some of Karen’s most iconic RHOP moments.
“The wig shift … will go down in infamy,” Robyn remarked, referring to one particularly memorable scene from a Season 3 barbecue. Candiace, for her part, replied, “The wig shift was my favorite moment of all time.”
Ashley, meanwhile, agreed with the two, before also throwing out Season 3’s “Pizzagate,” which involved her, Robyn, and Gizelle’s covert operation amid questions about where Karen was really living at the time.

Why was Karen Huger in prison?
As a refresher, Karen served six months in jail on a DUI conviction in 2025, though she pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Karen was released from prison in September 2025. She filmed her reunion with husband Ray Huger and daughter Rayvin Huger, and a week later, sat down for an interview with Andy Cohen in her home, functioning as the RHOP Season 10 finale.Â
During their no-holds-barred conversation, Karen reflected on her March 2024 arrest, trial, and life behind bars. “I have been through hell and back,” she told Andy, before also offering more details during RHOP Season 10’s Reunion Part 3, which was filmed on January 8, 2026.
Prior to the RHOP reunion, Karen also took the stage during November’s BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas, marking what she referred to as her “triumphant return” to the Bravoverse. As she presented an award during The Bravos, the audience welcomed Karen back with a standing ovation.
“I’m uplifted beyond words reflecting on the overwhelming love from my family and all of the RHOP fans,” Karen captioned a Nov. 16 Instagram post. “Last night, Andy and the entire WWHL team welcomed me with such warmth and respect.
