Gina Kirschenheiter Details Her 2 Engagement Rings from Travis

When discussing the ring Travis initially designed to propose with, Gina explained on The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show, “[Travis] found this jeweler because he had made a custom bracelet for Taylor Swift. And so he was like, ‘If it’s good enough for Taylor Swift, it’s good enough for Gina.’ And he’s right.”

She continued, revealing that the company first built a prototype ring so she could make any changes to the design. “You work with them and they design the ring, and then they build the ring, but it’s just a prototype. That way you can propose with the ring. That was a moissanite stone, not a diamond. Like, if I wanted to change anything about it I could,” she said. “I decided not to change anything because I thought he did such a beautiful job.”

During RHOC Season 20, Episode 11, viewers saw Travis finally give Gina her engagement ring after proposing with the prototype. As it turns out, he had also designed an entirely different ring as another option for her to choose from. “I just felt like this was so traditional and beautiful for an engagement ring. But I loved, loved the other ring because it was more like edgy and cool,” she said. “And so he actually surprised me and he had the other ring made for me. So now I have, like, two engagement rings.”

She quipped, “I’m so down to earth. I’m the relatable one!”

Gina Kirschenheiter opens up about why she and Travis waited to get engaged

Gina admitted during Episode 11 that she didn’t push for an engagement to Travis due to his divorce from his ex-wife. “People always ask me, ‘When are you and Travis gonna get engaged? When are you gonna get engaged?’ And after a while, you’re like, ‘This isn’t a question for me. This is a question for Travis,'” she said. “I got to a place where I was OK if that wasn’t in the cards for us because of his really complicated issue with the kids and his ex.”

“I will prioritize everybody else before like, these kind of fairytale moments,” she said in a confessional. “And maybe that’s part of why he ultimately wanted to propose, too. And that’s the kind of person that you want with you for the long haul. And he’s handsome, that doesn’t hurt.”

Gina Kirschenheiter reveals how her relationship with Travis Mullen has changed after getting engaged

Gina opened up on the RHOC After Show about how it feels now that she and Travis are engaged. “I do like being engaged. And I do feel like it brought a level of maturity and respect for our relationship, because I hated that we were boyfriend and girlfriend,” she said. “We live as a family, we have all these kids.”

As Gina explained during the September 17 episode, wedding planning wasn’t top of mind. “I am so focused right now on building my business and building financially,” she said.

In August, she shared more with Bravo Insider about why she isn’t rushing to planning a wedding. “I feel like marriage is a marathon, and if I’m going to be with Travis for the next 50 years and it takes me five, seven, 10 years to marry him, that’s nothing in comparison to the lifetime we’re gonna spend together, so I don’t feel like I should have to sprint to the altar when the true relationship and marriage is gonna last a lifetime,” she explained. “So I’m just taking my time and that’s it.”
