Hailey Glassman’s vague explanations about her career and income left her castmates on The Real Housewives of New York City Season 16 with more questions than answers. After returning from Moskito Island, Hailey opened up about why she had not been forthcoming with the other women.
While paying a visit to a sick Hailey during RHONY Episode 8, Carole Radziwill asked if she had felt “on the spot” during the cast getaway. Recalling how everyone seemed to be coming at her “at the same time,” Hailey went on to unpack her reasons for putting up a wall with the ladies.
“When that happens, it’s so hard for me to, like, [be put] on the spot… because it’s also mixed with, like, serious stuff that, like, bothers me,” Hailey said, before referencing the “tabloid thing” involving her past relationship with Jon Gosselin. “Sometimes, I don’t know if, like, a piece of me has numbed, like, a lot of that stuff out.”
When Carole attempted to clarify if Hailey was saying that she doesn’t “really trust people” anymore, she confirmed that to be true.
“Those were the tackiest questions I’ve ever, like, experienced, really,” Hailey elaborated in a confessional. “So, for me to open up, I have to feel a level of safety and consistency. I’m not some emotionally slutty woman, you know? I’m not emotionally slutty. But, like, you have to earn my trust.”
How did Hailey Glassman respond to the RHONY cast’s questions about her career and income?
Previously during RHONY Episode 7, Daisy Toye had asked where Hailey’s money comes from, prompting her to answer, “My hard work and manifestation.” The group was unsatisfied with her response, and Sai De Silva chimed in, “What exactly is it that you do for a living?” Still, Hailey offered only, “It’s tacky to talk about money. I don’t like talking about it.”
From there, Carole weighed in, “Only people who have a lot of money say that, like old-money people,” to which Hailey replied, “I don’t think life and people should be measured by how much money they have. I like to just keep it real and not be like… Like, I appreciate the sunsets and sunrises … I just don’t like when people just like someone because of money.”

What does Hailey Glassman do for a living?
Hailey went on to reiterate that she works as a publicist, before Erin asked her to specify how many clients she currently has. “I don’t discuss my clients,” Hailey answered, before refusing a second time to estimate the size of her roster.
As the Hailey Glassman PR founder previously explained in an exclusive Bravo Insider interview, “I fell into PR by being in the tabloids at a young age. I needed crisis management, so I got into PR to help people who couldn’t defend themselves and didn’t have a voice.”
Do Hailey Glassman’s parents support her financially?
When Daisy questioned if Hailey’s parents are “helping” her financially, she responded, “No, they don’t help with anything.” Carole, meanwhile, pointed out that Hailey’s plastic surgeon father “is rich,” and Erin Lichy asked if she has a trust fund. Still, Hailey scoffed at the question, replying only, “I’m actually kind of flattered that you guys are like, ‘Where does all this money come from?’ Thank you.”
Following even more questions about how she affords her lifestyle, Hailey added in a producer interview, “I don’t understand why people keep coming after me about money, when it’s like as if I’m some single woman with a bunch of kids. Like, I have no kids, I make my own money, and I’m married to someone who does very well.”
