Los Angeles, California – Canadian singer Alanis Morissette came out as pansexual during a recent episode of the Handsome Podcast.
For over 16 years, Morissette has been married to rapper Souleye, whose real name is Mario Treadway.
The musician surprised fans by speaking about her sexuality during an appearance on the show this month with comedians Tig Notaro, Fortune Feimster, and Mae Martin.
The Ironic singer told the hosts she identifies as pansexual.

Morissette said she doesn’t care about her partner’s gender identity or sex – she’s more interested in the person themselves.
The topic came up when Feimster toward the end of the podcast episode asked Morissette if any heartbreak involving a man had ever made her “want to be a lesbian.”
“I’m pansexual, so, yeah, I get everything,” Morissette replied.
Notaro asked whether Morissette is really pansexual, to which the musician said, “I am.”
Morissette is currently playing a residency show, Butterfly with a Machete: A Rock Traumedy, in Los Angeles, with the final show scheduled for November 11.
