Amid Next Gen NYC‘s debate over whether or not Teresa Giudice really unfollowed Ava Dash on social media, Andy Cohen went straight to the source. As Gia Giudice and Ava rehashed the drama during Part 1 of the Next Gen NYC Season 2 reunion, Andy revealed that he’d messaged Teresa to get her side of the story.
“By the way, I texted your mom, the other day and asked her if she unfollowed Ava,” Andy told Gia, who immediately asked what Teresa told him. “She said, ‘Honestly, I don’t remember.'”
With a laugh, The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter replied, “And that’s a fact,” while Ava chimed in, “I truly did not think it would get dragged out like this.”
What did Gia Giudice and Ava Dash say about Teresa at the Next Gen NYC reunion?
Ava had continued to clash with Gia at the Next Gen NYC reunion over the fallout from the latter claiming on a podcast that she previously “lied” about Teresa unfollowing her. While Gia accused her castmate of using her mom for attention, Ava denied that she had any ulterior motives.
“You knew it was gonna get public attention by bringing up my mom’s name,” Gia told Ava. “Come on. Teresa Giudice on a Bravo show?”
Ava maintained that was not the case, however, firing back, “I didn’t think about it like that, Gia. I’m way less calculated than you are, clearly, because I don’t think about it like that.” A bit later, she added, “I was just simply saying what I was feeling.”
Gia, meanwhile, insisted that she is “not calculated at all,” prompting Ava to retort that she had referred to her as “calculated” in a podcast interview first. After clarifying that she’d said it was a “calculated move,” Gia added, “I never came from your character and said Ava is a liar. I thought it was a lie.”

Teresa Giudice’s conversation with Andy Cohen at the Next Gen NYC reunion
Later on, Gia called Teresa via Facetime during a filming break and approached Andy to say hello to her mom. “Teresa! Can you believe I’m with your daughter at a reunion?” the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host said, to which she replied, “No. She looks beautiful.”
After Andy noted that Gia was “doing a very good job,” Teresa joked, “She takes after her mama!” The RHONJ cast member’s statement was met with some lighthearted skepticism from the duo, who both eventually conceded, “In some ways.”
Teresa’s final word on the matter? “No, she’s better. She’s better.”
The Next Gen NYC drama about Teresa Giudice unfollowing Ava Dash, explained
Viewers might recall that during the Next Gen NYC Season 2 premiere, Ava told a producer, “I’m not feeling great about Gia. Last summer, I noticed that Gia’s mother had followed and unfollowed me, and I guess Gia didn’t think that that was true.”
A clip showed Gia addressing Ava’s claim on The Viall Files podcast. “When Ava said that, I was like, ‘Girl, like, you’re just, you’re lying,'” Gia said. “I know my mom, and she doesn’t care that much to unfollow you.”

The two came face to face at Emira D’Spain’s birthday party later in the same episode, and Ava eventually confronted Gia about what she’d said about her. At the time, Gia doubled down on her claim and further accused Ava of “coming after” Teresa. However, Ava responded, “I did not come after your mom. … I didn’t say anything mean about you or your mother.”
Their argument spilled over into Episode 2, with Gia claiming that she’d actually asked Teresa if she’d unfollowed Ava, but she didn’t even know who she was. Even so, Ava produced screenshots that showed Teresa had followed her but was no longer on her followers list. By the end of their conversation, Gia apologized, and the two agreed to move forward in their friendship.
