The model and influencer said as much on Next Gen NYC Season 2, Episode 6 (which aired July 29). She first shared the news with some of her Next Gen NYC castmates during Emira D’Spain’s spa day, before later calling her dad, Damon Dash, to tell him what had happened.
Hook, for his part, was having a hard time believing Ava was serious about the split — implying there’s more relationship drama to come as Season 2 of Next Gen NYC continues.
Why did Ava Dash and Hook break up?
Ava initially shared that she had “found some information” about Hook, and after confronting him, the two ended their relationship. However, she revealed a more detailed account of the split on the Next Gen NYC After Show, explaining that Hook had been in L.A. filming a short film and was being “non-communicative” with her. Then, when he informed her that he was taking his onscreen love interest to dinner at a West Hollywood hotspot, alarm bells went off. Because of “how shady he was being,” as she put it, Ava confronted Hook and asked to see his phone when he returned to New York City around Halloween 2025.
“There was nothing on it with that girl, but I found other things,” Ava explained on the Next Gen NYC After Show. “I just had absolutely no tolerance for the things I saw.”
“He was really upset,” Ava continued. “He was like, ‘Can you not tell anybody about this?’ And I was just like, ‘F–k you. Like, how dare you. I’m going to hang out with my friends. So, like, just leave me alone. Don’t tell me, like, who I can go to [for advice] and who I can’t.”
When did Ava Dash and Hook date?
Ava and Hook sparked romance rumors in late 2024, but they didn’t hard-launch their relationship until early 2025. They later broke up toward the end of October 2025.

Who is Ava Dash’s ex-boyfriend Hook aka Tyler Senerchia?
Hook, whose real name is Tyler Cole Senerchia, is a 27-year-old professional wrestler and actor. He made his pro wrestling debut in 2021 after signing with All Elite Wrestling, per Sports Illustrated. His dad is famous former professional wrestler Taz (Peter Senerchia).
Hook launched his acting career in 2025 by starring in the short film Money Talks.
Prior to being a wrestler and actor, Hook was a top 100 lacrosse player. In a January 2026 interview, Hook shared that he initially enrolled in college to study business, but later dropped out to pursue a professional wrestling career.
