Boyfriend Learns Fate After Crushing Baby’s Skull for Interrupting His Video Games – Crime Online

A Texas man was sentenced on Monday to 30 years for killing his girlfriend’s 11-month-old daughter in 2021.

Bryce Ceaser, 25, was found guilty of child and aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury to a child. His two 30-year sentences are to run concurrently, according to KBMT.

Jefferson County prosecutors said Ka’oir Richard’s mother was working when Ceaser crushed Richard’s skull because she was crying and he wanted to play video games. After the fatal beating, Richard’s mother received a Facetime call from Ceaser in which he showed her a cell phone picture of her daughter’s lifeless body.

Ceaser told 911 dispatchers that Richard had choked while eating cheese and crackers. However, he later told detectives that he cracked the infant’s skull and violently shook her.

Prosecutor Tommy Coleman said Ceaser fatally beat the baby because he wanted to play video games. Meanwhile, Ceaser’s attorneys argued their client did not intentionally inflict the fatal injuries to Richard.

Ceaser is eligible for parole after 15 years.
