Carl Radke is sharing new details about his friendship with Lindsay Hubbard after their engagement ended in 2023. The Summer House cast members have been getting closer throughout Season 10 and are still in a good place today.
Carl appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday, May 12, where he admitted that he doesn’t see his relationship with Lindsay ever turning romantic again. “I think that ship has sailed,” he said, as seen in the video above. Â But, he revealed that he does think that he could be friends again with Lindsay.Â
“I do believe we have a strong bond as friends, and I think there is a future of a strong friendship, and I’m hoping for that. But I don’t think she wants to go back there, and neither do I,” he said. He added, “I think it’s important to see how exes can maybe come back together. It’s co-parenting in a different way.”

Lindsay mirrored that sentiment when she appeared on the Untraditionally Lala podcast this week. Â “There is a lot of rumors just because we’ve become friendlier lately, and we’re like kind of put in these positions to [be] in public settings, like yesterday at [the] upfronts. Carl and I have the same group of friends; me, Kyle, and Carl, you know, so we’re around each other. And so we keep running into each other at these like things. I think that we could get back to a place of friendship, but that’s probably where it ends,” she said. She added. “I think we’re in like a really friendly place.”
She further noted, “And I like that. I like where we’re at. I think, what do you call a friend? Someone you call, someone you’re like, you know, talking to on more of a regular basis. Carl and I don’t call each other, and we don’t talk to each other on a regular basis. So would you consider that a friend? We love labels and statuses, and we like to categorize our relationships. I think we should be okay with where we’re at, me and Carl.”

During Summer House Season 7, Danielle Olivera admitted that she thought Carl and Lindsay were rushing into their engagement and moving too fast. This resulted in Lindsay, Carl, and Danielle being on the outs in their friendship. But, during his appearance on WWHL, Carl admitted that Danielle was “probably” right about them.
“Danielle was definitely — I think we moved too fast, and took some time. I had just gotten sober and probably should have taken more time to focus on that,” he added. “But you can’t put the genie back in the bottle.”

Since ending their engagement, Carl has opened his own business, and Lindsay welcomed her daughter, Gemma Britt Kufe, with her ex-boyfriend after her relationship with Carl in 2024. Carl met Gemma earlier this month and described that feeling on WWHL. “We were at a friend’s birthday party, I did get to meet Gemma, I got a high-five,” he explained, while continuing to open up about his friendship with Lindsay. “It’s really cool to be in a place where we’re friendly. There’s so much history, there’s so much bond. I missed her in that friendship, and I feel like we’re getting closer to being happy and in a good place.”
Carl continued during the WWHL After Show, where he admitted that he has loved watching Lindsay be a mom. “Just seeing Gemma run around the party, it’s like little Lindsay running around. It’s adorable,” he noted. “It’s really sweet. I’m really happy for her.”
Lindsay spoke with Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea on May 12, where she confirmed that Gemma gave Carl a high-five at the party. “And then I handed her to him, and I was like, ‘Take the baby. Mama needs a break.’ She’s heavy, you know?” Lindsay recalled in a clip posted to Instagram.Â

Carl also addressed Lindsay’s awkward conversation with his mom, Sharon Radke, at Soft Bar’s soft opening during Summer House Season 10, Episode 13. He admitted on WWHL that he was understanding of why Lindsay was a little bothered by their conversation.
“I mean, there is history there,” he said. “I think I can understand where Lindsay was coming from with a little bit of uncomfort by the whole situation. But my mom had talked to me before the night, and said ‘If I see Lindsay, I’d like to just say hello and congratulate her on being a mom.’ It was uncomfortable to watch back, but my mom’s interpretation of the interaction wasn’t maybe as I watched.”
