Now that Luke Brumer has officially been caught for the mess he made in boss Nathan Gallagher’s bed on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11, the deckhand is worried that he could soon be fired from M/Y Akira One.
Near the end of Episode 6 (streaming on Peacock beginning July 14), Joe Bradley brought to Nathan’s attention that he’d found out that Luke ejaculated onto his bedsheets during a hookup. Not only did Luke never tell Nathan what happened while he was away for the night, but he let bosun sleep on the dirty sheets, which went unwashed for a total of three days.
Though Nathan’s initial reaction shifted in tone (more on that below), he eventually confronted Luke just after the new primary charter guest arrived. “I’m actually getting pissed off, the more I think about it,” he told Luke directly, describing his carelessness as being “so disrespectful” to him.

Under the impression that Luke wasn’t taking him seriously, Nathan even threatened to tell Captain Sandy Yawn what happened. “You’ve f–kin’ disrespected me,” Nathan continued. “Now if you keep f–king up with your job, it’s not gonna end well. If you piss me off the slightest amount again, you’ll be on the passerelle with your f–kin’ bags packed.”
Fearing the repercussions of his actions, Luke, for his part, told a producer, “I cannot believe that I could lose my job over something like this.”
As a preview for Episode 7 revealed, Nathan will eventually loop in a stunned Captain Sandy, who responds, “That crosses every line. That is so disrespectful.” (Find out Luke’s fate when the episode airs on July 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT)Â
Inside Nathan Gallagher’s reaction to Luke Bruner and the bedsheet drama on Below Deck Med
As Luke recapped in a confessional, earlier in Below Deck Med‘s July 13 episode, “I never had the opportunity to clean the sheets. But I should’ve. Should’ve, could’ve, didn’t. What can you do, you know?”
After the previous charter guests departed, Luke, without giving an explanation, offered to wash Nathan’s bedding. The bosun declined, however, as he was battling an illness and said he would rather launder them himself to prevent anyone else from getting sick.
Joe eventually spilled the beans later on, and Nathan, naturally, was disgusted. “What the f–k?” he vented to a producer. “I don’t even know how to process this. It’s f–ked up.”
Initially, Nathan took a more playful approach, broaching the subject with Luke by cracking a joke and warning, “I’d advise you to change my sheets ASAP.”
However, Luke offered little more of an explanation than the fact that he was “hungover” when the incident occurred. His lack of accountability rubbed Nathan the wrong way.Â
“I’m so confused,” Nathan continued in his producer interview. “He’s using every other excuse under the sun. This was your opportunity to come to me and say sorry.”

Eventually, Nathan stumbled upon Joe admitting to Luke that he was the one who told him what happened. That’s when Nathan’s demeanor fully shifted, and he issued Luke the aforementioned stern warning about his future on the vessel.
“The more that I think about this, it’s the fact that Luke hasn’t said anything about this in three f–kin’ days,” he elaborated in his confessional. “He had the opportunity to tell me, and the fact that he hasn’t told me, and it’s gone around the boat and everyone else is talking about it, that’s what’s pissing me off.”
Why Nathan Gallagher was not sleeping on the yacht when the sheets incident occurred
The reason Nathan had been off the boat the night occurred was previously revealed in Episode 4 as the crew celebrated their record-breaking tip after a difficult charter. After their dinner in Dubrovnik, Croatia, Nathan declined to join the team at a bar afterward. The reason? His partner, Gael Cameron, and their newborn son, Kayden, were staying in a rental home nearby, and he’d already arranged to be with them while off charter.
“I just want to go out for dinner with the crew and then leave straight away because I know Gael is struggling at home with Kayden by herself,” Nathan explained in a confessional. “My family is more important than drinking beer late at night with my crew who I’ve known for a week.”
So, Nathan immediately headed back to their temporary family home, which he’d previously noted was only seven minutes away from the marina, to help out with parenting duties. That, of course, left Luke with their cabin all to himself for the night, and he clearly took full advantage of the privacy.
